  • Great place with lots of room

"We just got back from our trip and had an awesome time at this property. The home was in great shape and easily fit our larger group for sleeping and day to day activities. There is a nice beach with clear water and few weeds for the kids to swim. There was little activity on the lake and as a result it felt like we had it all to ourselves. Hundreds of miles of great ATV trails just a couple of minutes from the home. Thanks for the great stay we will go back again."

  • Great time at the lake

"My wife and I spent the Labor day weekend at Mike and Karen's cabin on Lake Wilipyro. The cabin, location and everything was just as described on their listing. The cabin has easy access to the towns of Cable and Drummond. We enjoyed several restaurants within a 20 minute drive. Attended an Art Tour of 4 local artists - an event that takes place yearly. Canoed, fished and did everyting we wanted to do on vacation. We saw plenty of wild life including deer and while canoeing, we had a pair of Loons swim within about 10 feet of us. Fishing, I caught 2 16-18 inch northerns, a couple of 2-3 pound largemouths and plenty of bluegills and perch from the dock. Once again ---- great time ----- thanks!"

  • Wonderful cabin

"Beautiful cabin! The pictures can't describe how nice this cabin is. Very private setting with all the essentials of home. The cleanest cabin we have ever rented at any price. A lot of detail went into this cabin, especially the wrap around deck with beautiful full view of Rosa Lake. Three nice sized bedrooms including 1 room with access to the deck and wonderful lake views. The fire pit was huge with space for large families. The property is surrounded by forest and lots of wildlife right at your door including 2 loons who love to follow you around the lake. A fishing boat is included in your stay and that makes things easy for families who don't like to haul a boat around. The fishing is top notch. We caught lots of Bluegill 9 to 10 inches and also averaged 3 to 4 pound bass which we caught and released. Cable is a great small town with speciality shops such as a health food store and a year round Christmas shop. Right out of town 2 miles to the south is a bait shop that also sells hand carved sculptures that are less than half of what you would pay anywhere else in Wisconsin. In fact the gentleman carves anything you want and you can watch him working right outside the store. The restaurants in Cable range from cafe's to supper clubs. 10 miles away is Seeley and they have a great place to eat Called Moose Lips. If you like homemade pizza you wont be dissapointed. A nice touch was the local grocery store which was rather large sized and was very reasonable. If you like to see some sights trips to Hayward only took 20 minutes and Ashland was only 40 minutes away if you would like to see Lake Superior. If you like hiking Morgan falls is only a short drive away and has a spectacular waterfall. You won't be disappointed in this rental. Top notch owners who will help you with any of your needs."

  • Fatbike Birkie

"Some friends and I came down to ride the Fatbike Birkie in early March and had an excellent stay! Plenty of room in the heated garage to tune our bikes the night before the race, and a nice large kitchen to cook in. Had a little bit of trouble with the ignitor on the gas grill, but found a long lighter inside and cooked up some elk backstrap. Nice comfy beds, plenty of room to stretch out in the living room, and quiet neighborhood for a relaxing stay. We live on the North Shore of Lake Superior and as a home builder have a lot of experience with vacation rental properties and I'd rate this one as a pretty typical of rental properties up here. Nothing fancy or overly striking, but a practical build for a house being shared with strangers. There is an additional booking fee and cleaning charge to consider when staying, which pushed the price up over $800 for a two night stay. That said, the space was clean, warm, and a nice place to come back to after the race. I would consider staying here again for future Fatbike Birkie's."
