  • Great Family Vacation Getaway

"Our family of 5 had an incredible weeklong getaway at the cabin. The fishing on the lake was very good and we enjoyed a number of fish fry's. Kids loved playing in the paddleboat, catching frogs and turtles and fishing from the dock when we werent in the boat tubing or swimming. The large play areas in the yard was great for the kids football games, whiffle ball and badminton. We loved the cabin, decks, hot tub, furnishings, space etc, and hope to return again next year."

  • Magical!!

"We stayed at this wonderful vacation home in August 2013 and are so excited to go back soon! We stayed with 8 adults and 4 toddlers/infants and it was the perfect setup. The house is very updated and beautiful, and the scenery is absolutely pristine. The deck is an exceptional place to cookout, eat, or just sit back and get in some reading. We all enjoyed the tranquility and privacy of the location, but we didn't have to feel like we were "roughing it" more than we wanted to with the hot tub, wi-fi, and modern updates. The boat was also great and easy to use (as someone who has minimal boating experience and had to use it in all types of weather). The firepit was our absolute favorite element of the trip. There was plenty of seating around it and it is situated right against the water with a beautiful view of the lake as well as the stars. Overall, it was a great experience. Our only disappointment was that swimming was pretty much a no-go due to the water temperature, but that was our failing, not theirs. We can't wait to return!"

  • Trophy Wife House

"My initial impression as I walked into this home was "WOW!" Beautiful hardwood floors with matching cabinets and granite counter tops. The master suite is second to none. By far, the best bath room I've seen in a rental. As time went on, I learned looks are decieving. The kitchen is beautiful, but is equipped like a college dorm room. Few cooking utensils are provided. If you eat most meals out of the home, great. But if you like to cook, stay somewhere else! The ice maker on the refridgerator isn't hooked up and there are no ice cube trays, so buy a bag of ice before you arrive. Most homes I've rented have the basic grocery staples in the kitchen. Not this place! Bring EVERY single thing you'll need for a meal, including ALL condiments, as the refridgerator will be completely empty, along with the cupboards. The heated floors in either bathrooms were non functional as well. I have the exact same system in my home, so it wasn't "operator error". The living room furniture is uncomfortable as well. More reminders of a dorm room! There are no shades on the west facing windows, so afternoons can get a little toasty from the solar gain through a giant wall of windows. The lake is beautiful and was very quiet during our stay. Fishing was average. A few small bass were caught each morning and evening. Tons of loons make for a real "north woods" feel. All in all we enjoyed our week away from our daily lives, but this cabin really is like a trophy wife, great looks but not alot of substance."

  • We keep coming back!

"We have rented for the past couple years and always really enjoyed our stay. It is a great value! The cabin has a 'north woods' feel, is clean and is well appointed. We enjoyed the mornings on the deck watching the kids play in the large open yard. The evenings were spent enjoying bonfires. Long lake is awesome!! We appreciate that the cabin is so close to great restaurants. We also enjoy the fact it is on the ATV route. We have always had a very relaxing and peaceful vacation. The owner was wonderful to work with and very attentive to our needs."
