"Owner was wonderful, very accommodating. The bunk house with the covered lounging area was really nice! It made it easy to watch the little people as they fished from the dock catching little sunnies and while they playing in the water. Also enjoyed the 3 canoes and paddle boats, the Danbury playground, the ice cream shop, assortment of games/puzzles, bike paths, and the fur post was great. And next to no Mosquitos!!"

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed spending the Christmas holiday together at this very special place. The property is very well-maintained. The Barn is well-appointed and provides great space for family time by the fire. The views of the Lake, as well as the twinkling lights of Duluth across the bay, were the perfect back drop to nighttime bonfires. We especially enjoyed exploring the trails and finding the beaver clearing, beaver lodge and dam. The Barn is truly an ideal setting for a large group of friends and family."

"This was a perfect spot for our first vacation with our toddler. We were able to wade in the water (and use the paddle boat!) right from the edge, which was great. The view from the dock and backyard is great - we saw some beautiful sunsets. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't with us most of the week, but there was plenty to do in town and inside the cabin. And everything we could possibly need for cooking was there, which was much appreciated. For future visitors - check out Hayward's Main Street shopping area and Old Southern BBQ. We also enjoyed the local summer flea market and hiking at Hatchery Creek Park. Joy was a great help in lending us a pack and play and for locating a pontoon rental (though we didn't utilize, due to the rain). I would recommend this rental to anyone looking to get away to a nice lake where you want to sit and watch the sunset with a nice fire. :-)"

"The accommodations were awesome. Decorated simply and tastefully, classy and comfortable. The view is only the beginning of a great weekend. Ashland is a town with great history. Murals on main shopping area was breathtaking.
Bike, walking path conveniently located following Lake Superior was a daily routine. Shopping, wineries, and Apostle Island excursion were only a few more activities to do. Would repeat this vacation in a heartbeat!"
