  • Yo-ho!

"What a fantastic time was had in Hayward! The description is exact, but the personal touches and atmosphere of this cozy little nook are not completely captured in the posted pictures! We were very impressed throughout. In our opinion, the cabin was far more than we expected. It's a bit smaller than we are used to for our family, but the smart and efficient design balanced everything. We loved the sleeping porch, as it really becomes yet another bedroom entire to itself. We also felt that the Kitchen was very updated compared to the existing photos, and it made for a very easy go of things when it came to meal time. The cabin is very close to Hayward, even walkable; but felt removed and excluded from the main highway. The canoe, lake access and fire pit topped off the entire experience. Plenty to do - Lumberjack's galore (Yo-ho!), Fishing Museum, unique shops, flea market, mini-golf, and plenty of great places to eat (The Norske Nook has fantastic pie!). We did a day trip to Madeline Island on the ferry, and also visited the Cement Museum in Phillips on our way in. Thank you for the many memories, we all hope to return. We can't say enough good things about this sweet little gem!"

  • AMAZING HOME!!!! Perfect family vacation destination

"We stayed at this beautiful home with our two young boys (ages 4 and 13 months), my parents, my husband's parents, and his brother and sister-in-law and there two girls (ages 2 and 2 months) and we LOVED it!!!!! The home is large and cozy...we all had plenty of space to hang out together or to spread out as needed; the decor was beautiful; was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We loved using the screen porch, deck, and fire ring each night. The game card table and bar area were very fun as well! We rented a pontoon for one day from M&M Rental and was awesome! We did not have much luck fishing but did check out the Angry Minnow Brewery and the winery downtown...both were excellent! We did bring baby gates for the stairs and I would recommend that to anyone with young children. Otherwise almost everything we needed as already there and made our stay very enjoyable! The owners were GREAT to work with, answered all our questions, and came to fix a cabinet as soon as we let them know it was broken. Overall we had a FABULOUS time and we all hope to go back to this beautiful home either together again or with family/friend groups....we'd like to try it out in the winter too! I would highly recommend this vacation home to anyone that enjoys the outdoors, lakes, and north woods!"

  • AMAZING Vacation Rental with Everything Inclusive

"This was our second year to rent this amazing home/property during the mid summer. We like to travel together as a family (9 people) so accommodations and things to do for all age groups can be a challenge. Hudson Chateau has it all! A large home with indoor and outdoor spaces for congregating, tennis court, large indoor pool, lake, bonfire pits and WiFi just to name a few of the amenities. Colleen was so easy to work with and very accommodating!"

  • Spacious, quiet cabin in a great location

"My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend. The cabin is very spacious, especially the living room area. The location is private, quiet and has plenty of space between the neighbors. The property is well stocked with everything you may need during your stay (towels, cooking utensils, fire wood ect). It is a quiet lake (we saw two boats the entire weekend). The beach area had nice sand and the lake appeared sandy as well. I have no doubt it would be awesome in the summer months, especially with children. During our stay we canoed down the Brule River which I would highly recommend. The river is beautiful and full of trout. We also stopped in at the Kopper Kettle for a couple drinks and burgers. Todd, the owner was great to work with! I've used VRBO several times before and Todd was by far the easiest to work with. He is timely in getting back to you and keeps you updated along the way. My only recommendation to the owner would be that the property (outside) could use a good pick up. Overall, a great place to stay! Thanks for sharing!"
