"My husband and I came with our three sons and their families for a weeks rest and relax station in Hayward. My husband had been staying in Hayward area 20 years ago every year for vacation and had been telling us all about it for the last 10 years what a wonderful place it was. Dave's place worked well for the 4 families with people from age 4 to 60. And my husband was right. The lake was beautiful and clear. The kids played off the dock and it was under 5 ft probably 20 feet out. We rented a pontoon And boated , swam, fished, and tubed on the lake. We go karted, shopped, and ate in town. We spent a lot of time on Dave's deck, the campfire was great and the kids loved the swing set. The kitchen was well equipped as we cooked everyday. On the one cold Rainey day we made good use of the movies and games supplied. WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!
What kind of changes would we make? Maybe ceiling fans, dehumidifier in basement( one son used the bedroom in the basement and he said his bed was fine, my husband and I used the hide-a-bed, we kept window open and it stormed several nights, our bedding felt dAmp)or air cond. Maybe a cAnoe or kayak. We would have liked to bring our dog. Just some ideas.
We saw deer, ducks, eagles, loon, chipmunk, and BEAR!!! The grandkids are already asking to come back next year."

"We stayed at the cabin for a three night stay and enjoyed a pontoon rental from Round Lake Marina. During our stay we enjoyed grilling, fishing and swimming in the very clean lake water. There is also a fire pit for nighttime bonfires. We went to the restaurant on the lake for 2 meals which were delicious. We caught a total of 10 fish. The owner is very easy to work with and get a hold of. We had a great time, for a group of four people!"

"This cabin was just what I needed! I visit Hayward every year for a friends reunion. We always stay at a resort which is not very nice, but has great views. Well, this year my cabin was overbooked and the resort owner did nothing to accommodate me. I called Ken regarding this cabin and he was so gracious and responsive. The cabin is less expensive than what I would've paid, AND much cleaner and more attractive. The cabin is small, but has everything you need. The bathroom has all new fixtures and floor which makes it feel eapecially clean. The interior is all done in knotty pine and there is a screened in front porch. There is a partial view of the lake through the trees which is still very nice. A short walk down the hill and you're on the lake and large pier with swimming ladders. Ken saved me by meeting me immediately and making my check in so easy. I would've been homeless!"

"We spent a very relaxing and fun week with our grown children and 3 grandsons. It is a home away from home! The house is everything we expected, there is plenty of room for all of us. The view was wonderful...there was an eagle's nest with babies right by the house! The grandkids loved fishing right off the dock and the loons were very entertaining. They really loved the paddle boat and kayak that were provided!
We fished just about every day and went into Hayward to visit the Muskie Museum. The kids really liked the Lumberjack show, too! We ate most of our meals at the house but did enjoy pizza at Coop's one evening. The shops downtown are neat, too, and Hookstone Winery was fun. It is a short drive into town.
I will definately recommend this property to family and friends. It is a good location to meet as we were coming from different directions and wanted to find someplace in the middle."
