  • relaxing weekend

"My husband and I stayed for a weekend getaway. The cabin was completely furnished with everything! Has all the comforts of home. I really enjoyed the peaceful setting and loved looking out over the lake while sipping my morning coffee. Kim was very accommodating and helpful!"

  • Yo-ho!

"What a fantastic time was had in Hayward! The description is exact, but the personal touches and atmosphere of this cozy little nook are not completely captured in the posted pictures! We were very impressed throughout. In our opinion, the cabin was far more than we expected. It's a bit smaller than we are used to for our family, but the smart and efficient design balanced everything. We loved the sleeping porch, as it really becomes yet another bedroom entire to itself. We also felt that the Kitchen was very updated compared to the existing photos, and it made for a very easy go of things when it came to meal time. The cabin is very close to Hayward, even walkable; but felt removed and excluded from the main highway. The canoe, lake access and fire pit topped off the entire experience. Plenty to do - Lumberjack's galore (Yo-ho!), Fishing Museum, unique shops, flea market, mini-golf, and plenty of great places to eat (The Norske Nook has fantastic pie!). We did a day trip to Madeline Island on the ferry, and also visited the Cement Museum in Phillips on our way in. Thank you for the many memories, we all hope to return. We can't say enough good things about this sweet little gem!"

  • Bill & Carol and Family from Minnesota

"We had a wonderful week, enjoying family time together in this wonderful retreat. Celebrated birthdays for a 2 yr old Grandson and 34 Yr old Daughter. The property is immaculate and includes amenities to be enjoyed by all ages. Peaceful Lake in a National Forest was more beautiful than we expected, even had multiple visits from a pair of young deer outside the master Bedroom! Rob runs a tight ship and it shows on this property. Everything was as advertised. We've already reserved a week for 2015!!"

  • A great way to unplug!

"This property fit the description provided. The house was so clean and pleasant! The position to the lake and amenitities provided were excellent. It was a welcomed change of pace for us to not have TV/cable, internet, or cell phone connection. The roads in and out were tough, I'd recommend you not drive in/out in the dark or if the conditions are poor. Otherwise the secluded nature and quiet was a real perk! We appreciated the games for kids. The DVD player was great - we also rented a few family-friendly DVDs from the Red Box in Ironwood. The owners were particularly helpful and approachable with questions."
