  • Balsam Lake House in the Woods

"This property was just as it was described--it was beautiful and fully equiped with everything you might need. We loved having a bathroom for each of 3 couples staying. Everything was very clean and the outdoors was pleasant. We cooked every meal at the house, and had a campfire which was also equiped for whatever you needed. The owner phoned to make sure we had everything we needed. We golfed at 3 courses close by, and it's a perfect location for golfers. I would highly recommend this spot for a golf week-end."

  • Beautiful view from deck

"This is a home that is managed by a motel complex that is a short distance away. This made check in very easy. We stayed in early September and the temperature was perfect although the deck could get very hot. Two older style window air conditioners are in each bedroom. The remaining part of the house is not air conditioned. The lower level is not rented out or included in the description, but we went down to look and it is finished but very musty smelling. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen and center isle really efficient. If you like Bayfield, its a nice spot!"

  • Fall get-away with good friends

"Second time staying at this beautiful log cabin. We went for a long weekend with 2 other couples and had a blast. There was so much to do, and also time to just hang (read, watch a movie etc). Got a few bites fishing, played Bocce Ball, grilled out. The kitchen is perfect for cooking great meals and entertaining. Great place for a fall get-away. The cabin is perfect, fireplace warming and Debbie is so accommodating. We have also stayed here during the summer, and it was a wonderful week. Absolutely love staying here. The game room is so much fun (pool, darts, juke box, pinball and pac-man)."

  • A Fort filled with fun

"We had a large group (8 adults and 7 kids) stay at the Fort in August. It was perfect for our group, specifically the kids (ages between 2 to 8). Right out in front of the house is the swimming area. There is a small area of beach, and a roped off swimming area. The kids were also jumping off the dock for fun. In front of the swimming area is the burning pit which we used at night to make smores. Also, there is a large green space behind the house with monkey bars, a slide, and swings. The house itself was excellent. It had two large living space areas and also the game and bar. We rented a pontoon boat too, and this was excellent for seeing the Turtle Flambeau Flowage. There were eagles, loons, ducks, and one night we even spotted an otter swimming around by the dock. The fishing was slow the week we were up there, but we still managed to catch some smallmouth and pike."
