  • Exactly as it is described

"This was exactly what my family was looking for. The fishing was great. Off the dock or around the lake. I brought my own trolling motor and used it on the aluminum boat provided with the home. The lake was beautiful. Most of the usage on the lake was pontoon boats or fisherman. My kids loved swimming here. My daughter who is 8 and wife loved the paddle boat that was provided. We had the perfect evenings roasting marshmallows and making s'mores in the fire pit area. Very relaxing. The home was beautiful and very clean. This was very spacious. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. All the amenities of home. Comfortable beds, spacious kitchen, beautiful view from deck, and the neighbors you may encounter while you are out and about were very nice. Town is about a 15 minute ride away. You can get anything in town at the Wal Mart. If you stay here something you have to do is visit the St Croix national park. Take the big paddle boat ride. My family also visited the mall of America on the only day that it rained. Perfect indoor get away on a rainy day. It is about an hour and 15 minute drive. But well worth it. You can spend all day there. All in all this was a perfect vacation. Thank you to the owners. You were a pleasure to rent from and I will be recommending this home to everyone I talk to about our vacation."

  • Old time charm

"Our family of four (two teenagers) spent a fall weekend at this cabin, and loved every minute of it. The cabin is an original, with such charm--but all modern conveniences too. The owner, Jim is very responsive and keeps the place in tip top shape. Kitchen is well stocked (even had a crock pot) and a wood burning stove keeps the place cozy. We fished and visited places nearby, including the Crex Meadows sanctuary. Oh, and a fox visited daily, just as promised!"

  • Bill & Carol and Family from Minnesota

"We had a wonderful week, enjoying family time together in this wonderful retreat. Celebrated birthdays for a 2 yr old Grandson and 34 Yr old Daughter. The property is immaculate and includes amenities to be enjoyed by all ages. Peaceful Lake in a National Forest was more beautiful than we expected, even had multiple visits from a pair of young deer outside the master Bedroom! Rob runs a tight ship and it shows on this property. Everything was as advertised. We've already reserved a week for 2015!!"

  • What is a review title?

"We took our first family vacation with our adult children. 6 adults, a 3 year old and a 4 1/2 month old. We all had our own lovely space with enough privacy for all of us. We had the boathouse for yoga and hiding from the babies. We had the game room with an unlimited amount of games for all ages. We had the cozy library with gas fireplace for reading. The massive stone fireplace in the main living room was wonderful. The enormous kitchen was wonderful for all of us, and so well stocked with every dish, pots, pans anything we needed. The large farm table accommodated all of us. We used every level of deck when it was nice out. Hung a hammock and was well used. We rented a pontoon for the week, so fishing and many fun Happy Hours on the boat. Loved having access to the washer and dryer especially with small kids. There is not a swimming beach, the steps leading to the dock are many, but very maneuverable when caution is used. Swam in the lake without having a beach, but our granddaughter was so busy running around doing other things, it didn't even occur to her she wasn't swimming. Lots of small towns around and we ate out several times. Toni was wonderful to work with, and has a beautiful property that she shares. Would definately stay again."
