"We had a great time and a great stay; this is a wonderful property on a quiet, less-traveled part of the island! Four bathrooms, two kitchens with more gadgets than I have in my own home, six refrigerators (two with ice makers) - wow! Paper products (paper towels, toilet paper), bed and bath linens were all included. The place kept all 13 of us (plus one small dog) very comfortable for the full week. We could see how 16 could easily sleep there, but not sure about the advertised "18". There is a huge amount of land associated with this property for any yard game you can think of. We also liked that money for bonfire wood was donated to a good cause. The screened-in porch on the lower level was a nice, cool spot for visiting in the afternoons. Paul is a friendly, helpful owner who quickly responded to all of our inquiries; he has lots of plans for keeping this rental updated/made even better. As others have said, this property is not on the shore of Lake Superior, but the views are great (especially from the upper deck). Our only complaint was that the property's "beach" was not as advertised. In fact, it was nonexistent, and the lower steps to it had been washed away (we'd have been okay with that had we not expected differently). So all our beach time happened at Big Bay Town Park 2 miles down the road (and that place is worth going to regardless). People with mobility challenges could stay on the lower level but would miss out on the grandeur of the larger kitchen/common area. We all agreed we'd rent this place again if we had a large group going to Madeline Island. Thank you!"

"This June my family made a trip to Wisconsin to bury our parents ashes in the cemetery on the Flambeau River. There were 7 of us and we needed a place to accommodate all of us. We were looking for something spacious, well maintained, and comfortable - Anne’s house was perfect. Being on the river was also important to us, and we were thrilled with the location. We were able to canoe, kayak, and fish on a daily basis. We also enjoyed the outside deck and fire pit.
The house is very comfortable with all the amenities we could possibly need. It felt like home when we were there, and we will remember it fondly - in fact, I’m already planning how I can return in the near future. Anne’s description of the house is absolutely accurate – and the pictures reflect the spaciousness and charm of the house. My only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer!
Anne is lovely to work with, and if you rent this property, you won’t be disappointed!"

"We were a group of 6 couples up for the Apple Festival in Bayfield. We were overwhelmed at the beauty of this property! The house was fantastic, the attention to detail, unique and high qaulity decor was wonderful. There was plenty of room to accomodate us all and the kitchen was fantastic. The views of Raspberry Bay from each room were beautiful, 4 porches to sit and enjoy the fall color, listen to the lapping of the water. A fantastic hot tub nestled in the woods was a great place to relax with a glass of wine! We could not have asked for anything better. We will definatley come back!"
