  • Love this Cabin!

"This cabin is perfect for a cozy stay in the Northwoods! The cabin is in good shape and stocked with the necessities needed. The homeowners are easy to work with and communicate well. Outside is a deck to enjoy the lake, a campfire pit to warm up on a cool night, and a grill for cooking. Whitefish Lake is a beautiful lake that has clear, clean water with plenty of fish to catch. We enjoyed a fish fry - with Walleye, Bass, Sun Fish, and Northern. This time we did not catch a musky. We did bring our boat and tied it up to the dock. The water is shallow so you have to be careful. On another note, the shallow water makes it nice as we spent all day standing in the water and fishing about 100 feet from the shore. On the lake is a restaurant called Beechmore - stop by for a beverage and make sure you enjoy their "Beechmore Pizza" LOVE that pizza! We are repeat customers and will be back again for a stay!"

  • Beautiful home on a wonderful lake!

"My wife and I have stayed at many homes and this was the best yet! A well cared for cabin with knotty pine throughout. Cozy, with lots of nice touches made it feel like a Northwoods cabin should feel like. We loved the view over the lake with large glass windows and the trees all around. The screen porch was a cozy place to enjoy our breakfast and have a dinner after grilling on the large deck which also has a fantastic view of the lake! The lake is crystal clear as you can see almost 10 feet to the bottom. A nice sand bottom with a very gradual slope was great for swimming and having children in the water as well. A pontoon is available and we took it to Famous Daves BBQ restaurant which is on the lake just a short ride from the cabin. Very convenient. Reuben the property manager was also extremely friendly and helpful. We would recommend this cabin to anyone! Will definitely return again and have already booked next year! So glad we found it!"

  • Perfect for a long-weekend getaway!

"Even if the weather had been terrible (which is was not - nothing but warm sunshine and mild evenings for our 5-day stay), this place could not have been a better setting for our annual couples' weekend. There was so much space inside the barn, not once did it feel cramped with the 12 of us inside, along with a 150lb. dog. The look and feel of the barn and the outdoor spaces were very much appreciated. When we arrived, the space was very clean. The caretakers did a nice job showing us around, showing us how things worked (this was critical for the word-burning sauna and hot tub), and explaining the different places both on and off the property we could enjoy. Check-in and check-out were both very easy. The place was very beautiful and our group loved the architecture. The beds were very comfortable with nice, clean bedding; bathrooms were clean and spacious, with plenty of towels and bath tissue, etc.; the dishes were plentiful (though the metal causes some concern for use with the microwave); the outdoor spaces were absolutely incredible (and the light, but constant, breeze did a great job keeping the bugs away); and the place was well-stocked with firewood. There some areas could use some updating (the slow oven and some of the burners on the grill refused to work). Additionally, our group found the pantry (spices and coffee filters, especially) to be lacking, and there was no chest freezer as indicated on the website. Overall, we are all looking forward to returning to the Barn in the future, and highly recommend this as a vacation destination."

  • Fall Long Lake rental

"Very nice property. Watched the leaves change color, walked to the fresh water spring and watched the eagles soar over the lake. The steps down to lake would be a challenge for children and elders. Kathy and Tom at the Long Lake Bait Shop were great. Rented their pontoon for a day."
