"The accommodations were awesome. Decorated simply and tastefully, classy and comfortable. The view is only the beginning of a great weekend. Ashland is a town with great history. Murals on main shopping area was breathtaking.
Bike, walking path conveniently located following Lake Superior was a daily routine. Shopping, wineries, and Apostle Island excursion were only a few more activities to do. Would repeat this vacation in a heartbeat!"

"It was at least our fourth visit to this same property and each time we just love coming back. It is able to house a large group comfortably and has all the amenities you would need. Hayward is a cute town not to far and makes for a fun days outing. Best part about this place is the land and the beautiful lot. It is easy to get to the water and the fishing is great!! WE play a lot of games in the yard and always have a couple kids that really enjoy it. We all catch some fish even the 5 year old!! It is even possible to catch something decent from the dock! The loons are there every year as well as the Golden Eagles. It is just so much fun to watch the wildlife. We had a snapper turtle just hand with us by our fishing boat for a long time. We even named him. The young kids loved catching the little painted turtles too. There were fireflies and toads. I don;t think I have ever seen so many dragonflies. We played cards and watched a few movies when it rained. It was warm enough to get in floats on the water even in mid June. The beach is very easy to get in and out of the water which is really nice. The views of the lake are just amazing. Again...another great trip for our family on Upper Kimball!!!"

"I just got back from a great week on the lake with my family. We all loved it. The house was perfect with plenty of room and a real cabin feel. The huge deck was perfect for morning coffee and dinners in the evening. Having the use of the pontoon was the real highlight of our trip! Found the sand bar and spent a lot of time in the water throwing frisbees and lounging in floaties."

"This was a perfect spot for our first vacation with our toddler. We were able to wade in the water (and use the paddle boat!) right from the edge, which was great. The view from the dock and backyard is great - we saw some beautiful sunsets. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't with us most of the week, but there was plenty to do in town and inside the cabin. And everything we could possibly need for cooking was there, which was much appreciated. For future visitors - check out Hayward's Main Street shopping area and Old Southern BBQ. We also enjoyed the local summer flea market and hiking at Hatchery Creek Park. Joy was a great help in lending us a pack and play and for locating a pontoon rental (though we didn't utilize, due to the rain). I would recommend this rental to anyone looking to get away to a nice lake where you want to sit and watch the sunset with a nice fire. :-)"
