"This cabin is a very clean and quiet cabin with a great location on the Chippewa Flowage about 20 minutes from downtown Hayward.
The cabin itself has central air, dishwasher, coffee pot and microwave which came in handy. Also the Wifi was nice to have for netflix or whatever streaming you want to do.
The swimming area is what you would expect on a lake or river we all had water shoes for swimming and floating around the dock.
The cabin is on a good size hill so if you have elderly people or toddlers they may have trouble going up and down the hill which is where the dock and fire pit are.
Also the refrigerator freezes things in the back no matter what setting it is on.
Overall it was a fun week and I would recommend this cabin to others.
Just remember to bring the bug spray.
Thanks for a great week Heidi and Roger"

"Steve and Anna have a very nice place which accommodated 11 of our family members including 5 grandchildren. The cabin was very clean and spacious and we found plenty to do. We used the pontoon boat almost daily and built fires in the fire pit each evening. The area has plenty of interesting things to do and there are several great restaurants and supper clubs in the area. We enjoyed our stay very much and the kids will always remember the good times."

"My husband and I stayed at the Farmhouse Retreat during our weekend stay for the Spooner Rodeo.
We have stayed at several VRBO rentals before and we both agreed that we have been most impressed with the Farmhouse Retreat! Diane and Richard met us at the house upon arrival. This is the FIRST time anyone has ever actually met us at the property. We found this very welcoming and also gave us a little more sense of comfort as they showed us where everything was, instructions, and recommendations for eating out,etc even though all this information was typed out in a binder! They are extremely genuine and friendly. We loved how much family history was in the house and can feel how much they value family.
As many others have written on their reviews, pictures do NOT do justice to the farmhouse! It is VERY clean and tastefully decorated. There is just about EVERYTHING you can think of in the kitchen (even things we do not have at our own house!) plenty of towels in the bathroom, linens are provided, comfortable beds, blankets, you name it, its there. This gave us that "at home" feel. We loved eating our meals out on the patio/picnic table and just sitting outside to watch the birds/enjoy the peace and quiet. We HIGHLY recommend the Farmhouse Retreat. You will not find a gem like this, for the price anywhere else.
Thank you, Diane & Richard, for sharing your farmhouse for our Spooner Rodeo weekend! We will be back!"

"Cabin was clean and comfy. I loved all the deer on the wall. Red's big bear lodge next door is a great option if you are not in the mood to cook. Beautiful area with a lot of outdoor activities to offer. We used it as a stay for work, which is much more affordable and convenient than hotels in the area.
