"The LOTL (Ladies of the Lake) first summer stay last weekend was as idyllic as our winter stay. The first thing you notice when you arrive is the amazing colorful display of flowers and lush greenery. Then, you notice how quiet it is... The home is very comfortable, from the bedroom accommodations to the main floor living space, with lots of gathering areas and nooks. The back patio was a favorite spot for us with its large dining table, grill, bar, fire pit and comfy hammock-among more showy flowers. The walk to the lake through the pasture is picturesque, yet unassuming. There's a platform deck for lounging off the stairway with an unobstructed view of the lake. Sweet! We chose the large front porch with the soothing swing for morning coffee and evening story-telling. An evening dip in the pool followed by sauna was the icing on the cake. The serene setting just lulls you! Thank you again for sharing your amazing home! We loved it!

"Steve and Anna have a very nice place which accommodated 11 of our family members including 5 grandchildren. The cabin was very clean and spacious and we found plenty to do. We used the pontoon boat almost daily and built fires in the fire pit each evening. The area has plenty of interesting things to do and there are several great restaurants and supper clubs in the area. We enjoyed our stay very much and the kids will always remember the good times."

"My husband and I stayed at the Farmhouse Retreat during our weekend stay for the Spooner Rodeo.
We have stayed at several VRBO rentals before and we both agreed that we have been most impressed with the Farmhouse Retreat! Diane and Richard met us at the house upon arrival. This is the FIRST time anyone has ever actually met us at the property. We found this very welcoming and also gave us a little more sense of comfort as they showed us where everything was, instructions, and recommendations for eating out,etc even though all this information was typed out in a binder! They are extremely genuine and friendly. We loved how much family history was in the house and can feel how much they value family.
As many others have written on their reviews, pictures do NOT do justice to the farmhouse! It is VERY clean and tastefully decorated. There is just about EVERYTHING you can think of in the kitchen (even things we do not have at our own house!) plenty of towels in the bathroom, linens are provided, comfortable beds, blankets, you name it, its there. This gave us that "at home" feel. We loved eating our meals out on the patio/picnic table and just sitting outside to watch the birds/enjoy the peace and quiet. We HIGHLY recommend the Farmhouse Retreat. You will not find a gem like this, for the price anywhere else.
Thank you, Diane & Richard, for sharing your farmhouse for our Spooner Rodeo weekend! We will be back!"
