"Absolutely the perfect location to enjoy the wonderful fall colors (which were at peak). The cabin is located on a secluded part of the lake and we enjoyed beautiful sunrises on the dock and serene evenings listening to the loons while out in our boat. The owner was very prompt in corresponding with us, which is high on our priority list when renting a vacation home. We loved the cabin itself - rustic, yet very modern...all of the comforts of home. We enjoyed dining at The Rookery and Tally Ho, and of course scooting up to Bayfield to have lunch at Maggies. This is by far the best VRBO experience we have ever had. We will be back!"

"we had the privilege of staying here the first week of september, the property is very private and the home is unlike most rental homes.it is very well equipped ,has a great view and is furnished very well.the wildlife around the home includes a fox, witch visits daily and eagles prominent in the tree line.the pontoon boat was nice and dependable.we could not have been happier.jim was a great host,we definitely hope to return."

"We spent a very relaxing and fun week with our grown children and 3 grandsons. It is a home away from home! The house is everything we expected, there is plenty of room for all of us. The view was wonderful...there was an eagle's nest with babies right by the house! The grandkids loved fishing right off the dock and the loons were very entertaining. They really loved the paddle boat and kayak that were provided!
We fished just about every day and went into Hayward to visit the Muskie Museum. The kids really liked the Lumberjack show, too! We ate most of our meals at the house but did enjoy pizza at Coop's one evening. The shops downtown are neat, too, and Hookstone Winery was fun. It is a short drive into town.
I will definately recommend this property to family and friends. It is a good location to meet as we were coming from different directions and wanted to find someplace in the middle."

"This beautiful lake home is situated in a gorgeous wooded area just outside of Hayward. If you are looking for a truly relaxing vacation, this is the place to stay. Our party consisted of ages from 18 months to 65 and we all had a wonderful stay. The open floor plan allowed the kids plenty of room to run around and play. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils and all major supplies were available for use. Just like any other vacation home we have stayed in, you need to bring all food supplies with. Overall we all had an amazing time and would recommend this home to anyone."
