"We spent a beautiful week at this home. There were 8 of us-4 adults and 4 kids (ages 4.6,12, 14) and fit comfortably in the house. Great layout and had tons of amenities. We loved screened porch-kept pesky Mosquitos out!! We used fishing boat and paddle boat-kids loved paddling out to swim platform!! Kitchen was well stocked. Kids were excited to see newly added tv and huge assortment of board games. Everyone was able to catch fish...my husband caught a couple big bass-all from dock. Tried out sauna and used wonderful Bose sound system! We traveled to Hayward and explored Wildernss Walk, fishing museum, and saw world lumberjack championship. We also kayaked the Namekagen river-would recommend that float to everyone-absolutely beautiful and Jacks Canoe Rental was great! Overall a wonderful family vacation and we will definitely considering renting again!! Thanks for a great time and great house!"Guest: suzyb Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 27, 2014View listing
"The rave reviews I read prior to our stay at Lake Wind Lodge were more than well-deserved! The owners, Neal and Stacy, are obviously perfectionists in the very best sense of the word. Their painstaking attention to detail is evident throughout, cutting no corners and sparing no cost in their construction of the Lodge, pool house and grounds, and then keeping them immaculately maintained, both inside and out (a monumental task, no doubt!). High end furnishings and decor skillfully blend a welcoming "stepping back in time" feeling of warmth and comfort with every modern "necessity" (as well as "nicety"): top of the line appliances, extensive sound system, wifi, a/c, etc. And those oh-so-special touches -- luxurious bedding and towels, soft, fluffy robes and slippers, scented soaps; soothing 88 degree sparkling saltwater pool, zen-garden-like landscaping inviting meditation and relaxation; availability of your own personal chef and masseuse (I highly recommend both!); combine to create a spa-like atmosphere of self-indulgent pampering....and all this in an extremely private, spectacularly beautiful north woods lake setting. Truly perfection! Is it any wonder no one ever wants to leave?"Guest: Steph Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 30, 2014View listing
"The cabin was larger than expected; everything very clean and uncluttered. Cabin sits very close to the lake which is extremely handy. Louie's Landing was a couple minutes' drive with a convenient boat landing. Lake is big; while popular with guides for fishing many varieties, we had no luck on our own despite a lot of effort. 1/2 day with a guide might be well worthwhile. One tiny walleye was caught from the dock. Property is overall very kid friendly, the only small negative for us was no sandy area in shallow water for toddlers to play - mostly rocks until you get out closer to the end of the dock. It was an enjoyable, quiet, nice place to rent for vacation. Our Lab had a blast - lots of yard space for him :-) Thanks for allowing pets!"Guest: PSM Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 17, 2014View listing
"My friends and I had a guys weekend and found ample beds, very comfortable accommodations and overall a very comfortable and nice cabin to enjoy. The owner was very prompt and courteous in communication and had the place very well taken care of and stocked. The condition and comfort of the place exceeded our expectations and we thought it was even better than the pictures show. Very nice."Guest: Dave from Minnesota Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 28, 2014View listing
