  • The place to make memories

"My children and I vacation at this house whenever possible. It is an inviting, warm house on a beautiful lake. Far enough away to truly relax and be with each other. Close enough to Duluth, Hayward and other areas of interest for fun day trips. The kitchen, living areas and amenities are first rate. It’s called a cabin and is nicer than many residences. This is a place to create many happy memories including climbing trees, bonfires, s’mores for breakfast, swimming in the lake, water fights and water balloon tosses, playing games, tie dying and watching movies all day when it rains. My children are world travelers and have been places such as Versaille, Berlin, Mexico, London. The memories they talk about whenever we get together? The critter in the canoe, the fireworks over the lake, kayaking around the shore, catching frogs and pushing mom off the pier. Their favorite place to be? Up North at John and Judy’s cabin relaxing, having fun and making new memories!"

  • Great Family Vacation

"We spent the week here with my sisters families and had a wonderful time. The pool was great and we spent plenty of time there. The lake is big and quiet, without a lot of boat traffic, so it was great for tubing, fishing, etc. The house was great for our family with plenty of room for 12 and dogs. Any problems we did encounter were handled immediately by the owners. Great week and vacation."

Our three little dogs were welcome again and had a blast. We can't thank you enough! The swimming, grilling out, fishing in the rowboat, hiking at Copper Falls, a vac we needed and thanks again Ron,you are truly a wonderful host, your mom and dad can be proud!"

  • Perfect for large families

"We were looking for a rental in which to hold a celebration for my husband's 60th birthday. All 3 of our adult children, with their families, traveled to WI for this gathering - so we needed a space that would allow a family of 14 to be together. Ann's gracious home fit the bill perfectly. There are plenty of bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. Additionally, there is a full kitchen, a laundry room (life saver with little kids), and multiple living/family room spaces for people to be together - or to have a little personal space. My favorite part of the house is actually attached to the house - the garage. Ann has two cafeteria tables in there - so we could have all 14 of us sit down to eat at once - with no worries about little hands spilling milk, because it is a garage. Excellent. For the river - it is beautiful. I've always been a lake girl, so was a little nervous about the river - no need, it was great. The water is very clean, shallow enough for little ones, deep enough to fish for walleye and small mouth bass (which were delicious btw). Ann has life jackets, inflatables - really everything you'd ever need. We are very grateful to have found Ann and this property. I highly suggest it. Sincerely, Raechel Schowalter"
