"We really enjoyed our stay at Scheer's. The cabin was very clean and nice. It was right next to a restaurant, ice cream shop, clothes shop and the lumberjack shows. We went to all and enjoyed them! It is on Hayward Lake, which is a small lake. We also went to Round Lake, which is not far away. It is perfect for a family of four, but more so for younger children. We have two teens, and the second bedroom was small with two twin beds. No air in the second bedroom either, so we bought a large fan for the room. Other than that, it worked well and was a very pleasant stay. It also didn't hurt that the weather was perfect the entire 6 days we were there!"Guest: CD Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 12, 2014View listing
"Very nice property. Watched the leaves change color, walked to the fresh water spring and watched the eagles soar over the lake. The steps down to lake would be a challenge for children and elders. Kathy and Tom at the Long Lake Bait Shop were great. Rented their pontoon for a day."Guest: Ross Family Date of Stay: September 2013 Review Submitted: October 2, 2013View listing
"What a wonderful place to vacation. Peaceful, relaxing and cozy. Weather was great. Fishing for panfish was awesome. My 8 year old didn't want to ever stop fishing:)Only a short distance to Hayward & Stone Lake for shopping or adventure. Riding stable not far. Had a great trail ride. Cabin was neat and clean. Furnishings were just what we needed. You'll enjoy relaxing campfires, listening to the loons and using the canoe/paddle boat. Plenty of wild life present. Owner was great to work with. Easy communication. I would highly recommend spending your vacation here."Guest: Hicker Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 27, 2014View listing
"In celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary of my parents, my brother and I (and our spouses) reserved three days at this beautiful cabin on the edge of English Lake. The photos looked so amazing, yet they truly don't do it justice! We enjoyed the hiking (especially at nearby Copper Falls State Park), the fishing, canoeing, and just relaxing on the deck chatting, reading, and basking in the sun. This cabin is very comfortable, welcoming, and had everything we needed (my dad really admired the excellent workmanship of the cabin construction). Rich, the caretaker, was very helpful, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. Gregg, the owner, was also really friendly and easy to work with. Our visit was perfect-- the entire family had a great time. I highly recommend this cabin!"Guest: Stacia M. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 6, 2014View listing
