"If your idea of fun is vacationing on the edge of a lake and hearing the water waves lapping at the rocks on the bank as you sleep, look no further. This resort is like a hidden gem. The photos of this place do not do it justice.
The owner, Frank, is very friendly and helpful. He is available when needed but does not hang around and make a pest of himself. Thanks for being such a good host, Frank.
The 3 levels of the boathouse allow the guests to view the beautiful Kegonsa lake. Our extended family spent 6 nights in the boathouse and never felt crowded yet were able to hang out all together in the living room with a place for everyone to sit. We were also able to seat 8 at the dining room table the night we had guests over for dinner. The kitchen is well stocked and appliances work well.
If I had to make a suggestion the only recommendation would be to possibly use some type of "black out" drapes in the living room as the closed mini-blinds do very little to hold back the heat in the morning. However, we were not hindered at all by this. Thanks for making this rental available. Our family enjoyed our stay immensely and will be returning.

"The condo was great! I had a super one night birthday stay with 4 adult couples who all slept comfortably (minus the reverberations from one *cough* snorer) and made a couple meals. The water park was our off-season entertainment and we went into town for a meal and stop at a tourist trap which required a drive but whatever. Short of five stars because the kitchen was pretty minimally stocked and the hot tub closed!"

"There is no other property like this in Southwest Wisconsin. If you're looking for an opportunity to unwind, enjoy beautiful scenery, in a rural setting, this is it. Lots of scenic driving, great places for shopping, sampling and eating are nearby.
Frank's passion and skill are showcased in great architecture, craftsmanship, and comfort. (iron foot rests on the porch swing for example). The natural light, built in lighting and handmade furniture add a level of comfort and enjoyment that makes it the unique weekend getaway.
We've already booked our 2nd Spring weekend and are talking about a Fall weekend and/or a week in during the Summer. This is a great find...and I'd like to keep it all to myself!"

"The house was perfect for our 10 adults and 3 children. It is very clean and friendly! Donna and Ken have a lot of rules, but they are all common sense, and it keeps the house very clean. The pictures do not do justice to the lake. It is a beautiful place. We especially liked the golf courses and Devils Lake State Park, as well as the Noah's Ark park and Mt. Olympus. Our children took us on an anniversary dinner cruise on the Wisconsin River with steak and lobster. It was a terrific evening. I became a big Wisconsin fan."
