"My son & I spent a week here and loved it. Very private location, quiet and scenic. Close to boat launches at the Anchor Inn & Ellendale(Free launch). Deck is huge and overlooks the river. Loved the sky lights and the living room is huge and the furniture very comfortable. It's a perfect place to relax and recharge the batteries. We had no problems at all and would not hesitate to stay here again"

"The prior reviews have glowingly described this property well. The Clarance
Gonstead cottage is a dream stay, especially for those who love great
Prairie style architecture and beautiful grounds. We could have just stayed
in the cottage for three days, reading, enjoying the quiet, sitting outside
Joyce and Phil made us feel like visiting family from the first moments of
our arrival. Joyce welcomed us, and and answered all our questions.
The amenities here are top notch. The cottage has a great sound system,
super wi-fi, flat screen TV with good cable and a wood burning fireplace
(wood supplied by the owners for a small fee). Right outside the door there
is a bistro table with two chairs. Outside there are two Adirondack chairs
in a shady spot with a hammock within ten feet. Three bicycles are
available. The cottage is very unique, cozy and spacious.
My wife and I came to this area to visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin in
Spring Green. The House Tour and then the visit to Spring Green was all we
expected and more. We enjoy going to small towns, driving the area and
looking at homes and landscape, walking main streets and exploring local
stores and antique shops. Most surprising were the numerous craft beers and
wonderful soups we enjoyed. I’d highly recommend a visit to New Glarus;
make sure to visit the New Glarus Brewing Co. Take a drive to Spring Green,
visit Taliesin and then Spring Green. Have lunch at Freddy Valentine’s and
walk over to Acadia Books. Spend time in Mt. Horeb. Eat breakfast at
Schuberts and have a chocolate malt at some point in your stay. It is the
best malt I’ve ever had. Have a beer and dinner at the Grumpy Troll Brew
Pub. Walk the town and bike the area. Drive over to Stewart Lake and spend
some time there. Have a restful and inspiring stay."

"Overall place was nice, great location in beautiful setting.. When we arrived notified owner of a leak in ceiling in one bedroom. No one came to look at it all weekend. Did not use room due to leak and what appeared to be black mold. Had to go get air mattress to accommodate one couple. Was disappointed we were short sleeping space."
