"My family of four (2 adults, 2 young children - 3&6) met up with friends (2 adults, 2 young children - 1&3) for two nights on Lake Wisconsin. The cabin is beautiful - very clean, well maintained, very well stocked, etc. There are three small bedrooms on the first floor and an open loft on the second with three beds, so there was plenty of room. The shower is amazing. The living area is very small, and there isn't a dining table, so we ate most of our meals in shifts at the small cafe table or balanced on our knees. The loft was a bit challenging for our young kids - they had a hard time settling down because you could hear everything from the first floor. If your kid are older, this probably wouldn't be an issue. While in the area, we had brunch at Fish Tales and hiked at Devil's Lake State Park. The kids loved taking the ferry. We would love to return when there are more opportunities on the lake itself. We did enjoy having a fire with the beautiful lake view as a backdrop. Highly recommended."Guest: Hope M. "My friends and I stayed here over New Year's Eve weekend this year. We were looking for a nice place near Devil's Head so we could ski, play games at night and enjoy a cozy homemade New Year's Eve dinner together. This home did not disappoint! The property was closer to Devil's Head than we could have imagined which was extremely convenient. It was super clean and the kitchen offered all the amenities we could have asked for. The fire place, games, large dining room table and especially the ping pong table were all much appreciated extras! I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a cozy, open, roomy place to stay any time of the year. Thanks Hansen's!"Guest: Debra Date of Stay: December 2011 Review Submitted: January 4, 2012View listing
"With Mother Nature dropping another 14" on our cabin up north and a long weekend already planned we could not have been more pleasantly surprised and grateful for the unexpected change in direction. The owner immediately responded with a response - all details and payment secured in less than two hours. From the moment we walked in to the time we left - we were continuously amazed at the attention to detail and overall ambience of the cabin. The fishing was not so great but a certain fisherman shared his catch with us - another example of excellent customer service is the very humorous and witty care taker who allowed our lab a gusty welcome - we were more concerned then him but her wagging tail And excitement pretty much said it all. We have used vrbo often but never so close to home. All have been pleasant and this was no exception. Next time warmer weather and more time in the boats exploring the water. Thank you again Dave for sharing your cottage with us."Guest: Gina and Jesse Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 22, 2014View listing
