"We had a wonderfully relaxing time in this cozy, peaceful space. Close to Devil's Lake, Parfrey's Glen, Merrimac Ferry, etc. - for full outdoor enjoyment, but tucked away from any crowds. Lesleigh made us feel so welcome and clearly takes great care to prepare her home to serve as a place for relaxation (essential oils throughout, healthy staples in the well-appointed kitchen, eclectic CDs, etc.). It was such a gift to be able to bring our dog along, which made hiking all the more enjoyable. A couple caveats ... The condo is on the 2nd floor and the stairs could challenge someone with mobility issues. This is the "country", so grocery shopping and restaurants require a little (but beautiful) drive. All around, a highly recommended rental."

"We traveled from Virginia to Wisconsin with our two small children, ages 3 and 1, to visit a friend in Madison. The Crown Point Resort was the perfect location for our stay. The cottage was small but cozy and clean. With two bedrooms, our daughter was able to have her own room and we set up a pack and play in the dining area for our son. With both a grocery store and Walmart close by, we were able to get groceries and make dinners at the cottage. The lake view was beautiful which we enjoyed daily on the cottage's private deck. The owner was kind and extremely helpful providing suggestions for local attractions and eateries. Even though it was cool during our visit and we weren't able to enjoy the lake to its fullest, we did use one of the resort's paddleboats one evening which was a memorable experience for our daughter. Madison was a very easy convenient drive and we checked out the zoo and botanical gardens. We also enjoyed exploring some small towns nearby and had a fantastic day at Eugster's Petting Farm (between Stoughton and Oregon). The Viking Brew Pub in downtown Stoughton was a fun place for dinner with a small but delicious menu (don't miss the jumbo soft pretzel!) We highly recommend Crown Point Resort and wish it was closer so we could return more regularly."

"This is the 2nd year in a row that I have stayed at Crown Point Resort. This year I brought my wife and 2 children (9 & 11) and we stayed in cabin #4. The cabin is spacious, clean and well appointed. It can sleep a lot more but we enjoyed the separate rooms for the kids to sleep in. The deck with the grill, picnic table and lounge chairs saw a lot action from us as we enjoyed cooking and eating many of our meals outside. It is a quiet and relaxing resort but the lake provided hours of endless fun for the kids and us. It is a huge body of water (3200 acres) and never crowded.
Frank is a kind and gracious host who enjoys seeing his guests have a great time and will do what he can to ensure that you enjoy your stay.
The proximity to Madison and Stoughton is one of the attractions to our family so we can have breaks from the water activities. If you have children be sure to visit the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison (It's FREE), the kids loved it and Ella's Deli in Madison which has awesome ice cream, sundaes and other treats including an early 1900s working carousel that only cost a $1 to ride."
