"This is the fourth year that five other couples and us have taken a long weekend getaway to Adeline's House of Cool. Each year it is as amazing as the last!! To be honest, the first year that I planned this weekend getaway, I had thought that we would go to different cabins in different locations each year. It turns out that I have yet to find any other cabins/hotels/resorts that come remotely close to as awesome as Adeline's House of Cool is!! We absolutely LOVE it here and recommend it to everyone we know!"

"If your idea of fun is vacationing on the edge of a lake and hearing the water waves lapping at the rocks on the bank as you sleep, look no further. This resort is like a hidden gem. The photos of this place do not do it justice.
The owner, Frank, is very friendly and helpful. He is available when needed but does not hang around and make a pest of himself. Thanks for being such a good host, Frank.
The 3 levels of the boathouse allow the guests to view the beautiful Kegonsa lake. Our extended family spent 6 nights in the boathouse and never felt crowded yet were able to hang out all together in the living room with a place for everyone to sit. We were also able to seat 8 at the dining room table the night we had guests over for dinner. The kitchen is well stocked and appliances work well.
If I had to make a suggestion the only recommendation would be to possibly use some type of "black out" drapes in the living room as the closed mini-blinds do very little to hold back the heat in the morning. However, we were not hindered at all by this. Thanks for making this rental available. Our family enjoyed our stay immensely and will be returning.

"Our Girl Scout troop comprised of 11 girls, aged 11 years old spent 3 days and 2 nights at Big Valley Ranch. This was the perfect place for the girls to bond and explore the outdoors, while experiencing all the comforts of home. Most of the girls slept on air mattresses in the saloon while the adults slept in the bedrooms. The girls loved the unstructured experience of playing volleyball, wading in the crick, playing pool, and cooking in the kitchen. The Ranch was large enough to accomodate all girls together in multiple spaces, as well as allow girls to wander off safely for some quiet time. Some girls took a dip in the hot tub and loved that it changed colors. We hiked some of the trails and watched deer graze in the field every day. We used the gas fire pit on the deck for our Girl Scout ceremony and to cook our s'mores. Overall, it was an ideal place to host a large group of kids: large spaces, open and safe surroundings and lots of creative freedom for kids to just be kids. The Ranch is exceptionally clean. The Girl Scouts always leave a place better than we found it. This was a hard standard to live up to at the Ranch because it was so clean to start, but we did it! The care taker was very responsive. Be aware that cell service is very spotty in this area. Verizon seemed to work well, but AT & T and Sprint were not able to receive calls or texts. Also, it's a good idea to bring your own groceries. Not very many close grocery stores. Overall, a wonderful and very special place. I know the girls made memories to last a lifetime."
