"We stayed with a few other couples for a weekend getaway. It was beyond our expectations. The owners were great to work with and really made you feel at home. The house was larger than I expected with amazing views of the lake. It was in the '90's during our stay, so we took advantage of the beautiful lake. They had lots of water toys and kayaks. The kitchen was fully equipped with all appliances and everything you need. Just bring your own food and drink!
The men loved the basement too - it's a total man cave with updated bar and flat screen TV and vintage games. Plus, the theater upstairs was super relaxing when you needed to get away from the sun or just wanted to relax at night. I think a few of us even took naps on the chairs!
Don't forget to walk next to door to Karen's. We went there for dinner and they were super welcoming. Great pizza!
Overall, I would highly recommend this vacation home. Looking forward to hopefully returning next summer!"

"Our extended family spent the Thanksgiving weekend at this wonderful home. Everything we needed was there. The grandkids really loved the pool. Spent a lot of time in the downstairs mancave. Even had a campfire in the snow! complete with smores. Would definitely consider going back."

"Beautiful trees surround this little cottage. You walk out and you're staring at the lake and birds are chirping and the squirrels are moving around. The owners were real nice and didn't bother us at all. The cottage is real comfortable and peaceful. The owners let us use their kayaks and there is a paddle boat to go out on the lake.
Thank you very much! We would go again!
Couple of suggestions for future travelers:
Shop for groceries beforehand as there are no grocery stores close by. There is a Walmart super store in Bariboo which is 1/2 hr away.
Cottage needs a kettle for boiling water and the pots and pans are real old/basic. The basic stuff like sauces, oil, butter, coffee, tea, etc are not provided so bring your own. The only thing provided is salt/pepper and plain white sugar.
Thursdays are "Mowing lawn day" which means at all time you can hear a lawn mower buzzing around which disturbs the peace. If you're going to be there over a Thursday, plan on a day trip else where. Unfortunately we had plan our stay in day as Thursday."

"5 couples stayed here for a fun weekend in the Devils Lake State Park area. This home was perfect and comfortable with 5 bedrooms. Being an entrance to the State Park there is quite a lot of expected road activity-very busy road. There are many "rules" of the house to follow and one bummer is no fire pit allowed which we missed but the house itself is perfect for a get together and we had a great time. Another plus, it is also fully equipped for cooking and/or bbq as if you were in your own home."
