  • WONDERFUL!

"We rented the Swan's Nest for 9 days while in town from Florida. The house was perfect for us. We had our families over for a cook out and there was plenty of room, especially with the huge indoor porch. After many times of staying at hotels, to stay in a house with the advantages of washing machine, dryer, oven, two bathrooms, sleeping for up to 12 or more, internet, TVs, and the view of the lake was so much better! My personal little "likes" were the sliding windows between the kitchen and porch and the living room and porch. It was easier to pass food between the kitchen and porch where there was a huge dining table! I also liked the upstairs Master Bedroom with the sitting area and view of the lake. The first few days were a bit cold outside, but we got out on the pontoon boat (a must to have and a pleasure to enjoy) and just floated around the lake. It was very peaceful and beautiful. Jerry was great showing us how to use the pontoon boat, unfortunately one of us (not me, lol) didn't start it right and wore the battery down. Jerry was gracious enough to come out and fix the situation for us. Jennifer was an amazing owner, meeting all of our needs and easy to talk and work with. We firepit, patio sets, grills, and plenty of seating. I've already book this home for two weeks next year and cannot wait to return. It felt like I was in my own home!"

  • Family Vacation

"We just returned home from our 2nd glorious experience at Moore's Landing and have already made a reservation for next year - 2015. My wife and I hosted our children, their spouses and 6 grandkids ages 8 to 18, and we had plenty of room. Everything in the website description is absolutely accurate. The sleeping accommodations were clean and comfortable. Two of the boys, ages 12 and 14 slept in the game room (sofa bed and futon) and were happy rulers of the 3rd floor. The modern kitchen and full dining room enhanced our togetherness as we were able to share the cooking as well as conversation; The grounds are spacious and immaculate. The multi-person hot tub and the table outside on the deck promoted more socializing. Of course the lake, the pier, and the diving platform were the highlights for the kids - even the 74 year old kid. We had a great time."

  • Exceeded Expectations

"My wife, 3 yr old, and 8 week old stayed here over Labor Day weekend. It was fantastic -- the place was extremely clean, nicely decorated, open, and comfortable. We'll certainly stay here again."

  • Better than we had hoped for.

"This is a great house for extended family or friends. Multiple gathering spots inside + out. The house is lived in & comfortable. Bohemian chic. Lots of interesting art, musical instruments, games, books and comfortable furniture. Reasonably child-resistant. Excellent customer service. The owner answered the phone in 3 rings. No voice mail. Good Internet connectivity and a secluded basement room where two of us could do a little remote work. Plenty of bathrooms and bathing options. The steam-shower has an in ground tub at the back. Every single day someone in our group makes fun of the guy who complained about it. There is a big jacuzzi tub big enough for a small family or a big couple. It's in the central bathroom for access by all. Great floor plan, with bedrooms at the back of the house for napping kids or grandparents. The bedrooms are serviceable, with a TV in each one. Not Hilton-glamorous, but Quaker clean and comfortable. The dock is easy to get to, the steps and dock are in good repair. The water is clean and great for swimming. Lots of life jackets and water toys available. This is a rustic, lived in property, with nothing of substance to complain about. If you want spit and polish like at the Hilton, go to the Hilton. If you want to relax with your kids and grandkids and see every one play and have a great time, this is the place to come."
