PLENTY OF ROOM TO DO NOTHING OR EVERYTHING; IT'S UP TO YOU!
"I will start out by saying we had an incredible time staying here; of course it helped that the weather was perfect the entire time! However, even if it had rained everyday there would have been plenty of room and things to do for the 14 adults inside. The house is on a large lot on a peninsula; numerous outdoor seating areas so people can have their own quiet time if desired. The lake is beautiful; great for kayaking (which you can rent from owner) or rent their pontoon boat, definitely worth it for nice quiet rides around the lake or anchor in the shallows (about 300 yards off the point) where it's only 2'-4' deep; great party area! Plenty of grassy area for kids to play. The house is only about 8 miles from Lake Geneva if you are looking to do something off sight (shopping, nightlife, etc...). We did a wine tasting at a local winery and tipped a few pints at a local brewery. Being familiar w/that area, there are plenty of other things to do w/adults and kids. I hosted the 6 other couples who traveled from the east coast and gulf coast, all commented how enjoyable and beautiful this property and home was. My wife I selected the bedroom in the basement; hidden away from others at night, very dark and had our own large bathroom (it has a urinal gentleman!). Large family room in the basement; large bar, plenty of sofa area and we had some great times playing cards and pool. The kitchen is nice and fully functional; we didn't need anything (plates, etc...). Other than food & drink, the house has almost everything; you need to bring your own towels. The outdoor Weber gas grill was used quite a bit! To the owner John, you are blessed with a beautiful home on a wonderful piece of lake front property. Thank you for letting me my wife and all our friends an opportunity to use your home. It was the perfect place for all of us! I hope to use your home again for our reunion."

"Our family stayed at this lovely house for a long weekend to celebrate my grandma's 90th birthday, with my parents, two siblings and their partners, and my family of five (including baby). There was plenty of room for everyone and my grandma was able to use the main floor bedroom. We spent much time in the huge "great room" and loved that we could all fit at the large dining table. The weather was not beautiful that weekend so we spent a lot of time indoors - enjoying how comfortable and spacious the home was! Although we were able to play in the large yard and Bill kindly took out the paddle boat for us to take the kids out on the lake. Our only complaints were that although the house was handicap accessible, there is not a full bathroom on the main floor so we had to help my grandma up the stairs for her shower. Also, my dad wasn't thrilled with the space to tie up his fishing boat, which required someone to get in the water (none of the rest of us minded though, and my dad never had to get in himself anyways!). We definitely hope to be back!!"

"Our family of 6 stayed at this property for 10 days in July 2015. We enjoyed the yard, the beautiful view of the lake, the screened porch (loved watching a big thunderstorm roll through one afternoon from the screened porch!!) and the new outdoor patio area and large gas grill. The house was clean. We rented their pontoon boat during our entire stay and cruised the lake several times during our stay... life jackers and a few floating chairs/rafts included. Powers Lake is crystal clear and the water temp was perfect!! The dock w/ the chairs was great for those who wanted some sun and there is plenty of shade in the large lake front yard. We brought some yard games and spent many hours outside. The beds/bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen (well stocked with ample dishes, pans, etc. - bring a sharp knife though if you are really cooking!!) and laundry room worked out great. They even offered us any paper products, dish soap, etc. in the house... which was great if we ran out of what we brought on the last few days!! There are plenty of bathroom and beach towels. Several nice grocery stores are within an easy 15 minute drive. Lake Geneva is close by if you want to venture there for lunch/shopping/sight seeing... it's a beautiful little town to spend the day. We hired a college student down the lake who took our kids out on the lake to tube/wakeboard/ski on several days... that was a huge bonus for us!! The pontoon boat would be great for younger kids though and the owners even furnished a tube and rope for us to use if we wanted it... and they had a row boat that we used!! The lake is no-wake until 10am which allows for a nice quiet morning by the lake to fish (bring your own fishing equipment!) or just enjoy a cup of coffee. The nights were peaceful for sleeping... we never turned the air conditioning on as the breeze throughout the house was wonderful. The neighbors were friendly and we didn't feel like we were on top of each other at all... hardly noticed them with plenty of space to spread out. The internet/wifi/tv worked great. The property is easy to find. The owners were very responsive with questions and gave us a quick tour of the property when we got there. Bring your swimsuits, sunscreen and food and you are set for a great family or couples trip!! We would highly recommend Powers Lake and this property!!"

"8 of my closest friends and I wanted a place to hang out for the weekend. Play bags, BBQ, sit around and not do much at all. We have stayed in Wisconsin now for a few years running and this was the nicest house we stayed in. Great ping pong table, TVs in all the right places, HUGE yard on the water. I would recommend this place for any large group to stay."
