  • Wonderful Cabin Getaway

"My wife and I have stayed at several VRBO rentals over the years, and this place is one of the nicest. The cabin is spotless and well equipped. We brought our black lab Mackie who had a wonderful time swimming, fetching, chasing squirrels, and even playing with the owner's black lab one day. Not many places will accept pets these days, so we were fortunate to find this place. It is also very close to where my daughter lives, so we got to spend some time with her. I caught a nice 31" blue catfish our first night there, and missed several others. We had several campfires down by the river while fishing at the same time. There are tons of places to go and things to do in the area. Also good places to eat such as Red Pines on Lake Onalaska and the Hungry Point Bar and Trempealeau Hotel in Trempealeau (8 miles away). The only thing that is not obvious from the pics and description is the hill down to the river is bigger than it looks. You will get a bit of a workout going back and forth, which is a good thing. It's a great place and we had a great time. Will definitely go back."

  • Perfect Romantic Get Away

"This cabin is NICE! My wife and I were looking for a weekend get away, didn't want to drive to far from home, this was perfect. The cabin is very comfortable, and to our suprise it came with everything a person would need to cook their own meals. We enjoyed the very relaxing hot tub, and the sauna was very nice also. They provide towels and robes, which was a pleasent surprise. We will be back again, hopefully to make this a yearly get away. The fresh coffee beans was also a great morning find! Only thing I wish I would of brought was a radio to listen to some music while relaxing in the hot tub. Overall this was the nicest cabin my wife and I have rented in the area."

  • An excellent getaway location for one who loves the outdoors

"We have stayed at the Cheyenne Valley Farm numerous times and have always greatly enjoyed our stay. This location is excellent for those who want to enjoy the outdoors. The numerous hiking trails, hills, valleys and trout creek provides for excellent scenery and great hiking. There is also a beaver dam on the property. The hiking trails are maintained and the views on several trails are great! The farmhouse is very neat and clean. Good amenities and a very nice kitchen. Plenty of room with the 5 bedrooms. The front porch is big with several chairs to allow visitors time to kick back, relax and enjoy the view of the hillsides. We really enjoy staying at this rental and will continue to visit yearly."

  • Peaceful, secluded, fun warning, steps are steep for larger dogs

"We stayed last weekend and it was awesome!!!! So peaceful, secluded, away from everything!! Who can say they stayed in a caboose, we can!!! It's is in the middle of no where, yes there are mice, you are in nature! We just made sure to put stuff away so they wouldn't be attracted to the counters no such. We were allowed to bring our dogs, but we did not even think about them getting in, the stairs are real train stairs, hard on a pooches feet and steep, we have 3 very large dogs and they wouldn't even try the stairs, so be aware of that with dogs. We were lucky they could sleep in our van with their beds. There are wineries and great eating places, have to drive a bit, but such beautiful country, it's a pretty drive!! We will be back with our 2 grandchildren hopefully in the fall, loved it!!"
