  • An absolute slice of heaven!

"Our family stayed at the secluded grove for a week over the 4th of July. It is a beautiful log cabin located up on the ridge. Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views of nature, and at least a million stars in the sky nightly. The cabin is large. 3 very nice bedrooms, and comfortable beds. The loft is large enough to add a queen blow up mattress if need be. Huge family room on the lower level with dish tv and high speed internet. The craftsmanship of the house is gorgeous. 2 clean modern baths. Big kitchen with everything you would need. The living area is open with vaulted celing and there is a fireplace in the corner to add to the whole cabin experience. This property is clean and well taken care of. The lawn was mowed, and the 6 person hot tub was clean. The property has an amazing wrap around deck that our family lived on, very nice. The managers are great people who will literally roll the red carpet out for their guests. We have stayed in their properties before and will continue to do so. Our vacation was a wonderful experience, and this home and the location were the reason why."

  • Great Cabin

"My girlfriend and I spent a weekend at this cabin. It was our first cabin and we had some very specific requirements such as a hot tub and not being too near neighboring cabins. Many cabins online are very close to neighboring cabins so I was a little nervous this would be the same. Upon arrival our fears were quickly eased. The cabin is away from most everything with no cell reception. There are some cabins nearby but far enough away you don't think about them being there. Trees block them so you can't see them. Secluded...check. There is a hot tub which sits two people very comfortably and could fit up to three or four. This cabin's kitchen is full and you could cook plenty of things provided you bring the food. Basics like pots, pans, and utensils are in the cabin. Pictures provided match what the cabin looks like...spot on. The interior feels new, clean, and well maintained. In sum, great cabin. If you're looking to get away and have no distractions, this a great cabin."

  • A Wonderful Relaxing Country Getaway!!

"My husband and I were lucky enough to meet the owner, Joyce, who told us about Timber Coulee Cottage... how fortuitous for us! We were able to escape from our busy lives for a wonderful weekend in February... it was a cold, blustery weekend, but all the better to have a cute, cozy cottage to cuddle up in! We so enjoyed relaxing in front of the gas fireplace watching TV, sitting in the sun out in the sunroom with a good book (or two), and cooking in the well-supplied kitchen! We also have a rental so it was very helpful to see what a great job Joyce and her family have done with the cottage... the remodeling was very well-done, the fish-themed decorating was fun, and everything was well-taken care of and clean! We did get a chance to explore the area too... there were many interesting antique stores to check out, as well as great restaurants! Our favorite was the Tangled Hickory Wine Bar in Viroqua! We definitely will come back to Timber Coulee Cottage, but although the winter was cozy, we will try the summer next time, as we both love fishing! Thanks so much Joyce, for the excellent job that you have done in creating this wonderful country getaway!"

  • Comfortable spacious cabin in a peaceful setting

"We rented this cabin for a quick reunion among young families. We found it to be the perfect place to unplug from our devices. Our nature-loving kids had a blast running around the spacious yard, exploring Sugar Creek and trying out the refreshing spring-fed swimming hole out back. The adults had fun grilling each night and the kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows for S'Mores in the fire pit. In the morning we got our exercise by walking up the road to the top of the mountain…what a view!! As we were only there for a short weekend, we didn't get to try out biking or canoeing but I could certainly see that it would be a blast. The house was wonderfully appointed with all the utensils, pots and pans we needed, including a working coffee maker! The large kitchen with generous island was a pleasure to cook in. There were plenty of comfortable beds for our crew along with all the blankets we needed. The kids enjoyed unwinding to Disney movies in the basement at the end of each night, what a great collection! The owner was wonderful to work with and very prompt in seeing to any detail. Thanks again for opening your warm and inviting home to us!"
