"I don't know where to begin! It is an absolutely perfect retreat. When all of us first walked in we were struck by the charm. We explored every room and couldn't help but feel happy! It was so cozy and relaxing. The setting is amazing as we were able to enjoy the peacefulness. We enjoyed watching the wildlife and cannot wait to return when the weather allows us to enjoy the outdoor tranquility! If you are looking for something with modernness and city action this is not the place for you. If you are looking for an escape from hectic life happenings and want to enjoy peace and quiet this is definitely the place for you! The owners are absolutely wonderful and you can tell they go above and beyond to make your visit the best you have ever had!"

"My wife and I have stayed at several VRBO rentals over the years, and this place is one of the nicest. The cabin is spotless and well equipped. We brought our black lab Mackie who had a wonderful time swimming, fetching, chasing squirrels, and even playing with the owner's black lab one day. Not many places will accept pets these days, so we were fortunate to find this place. It is also very close to where my daughter lives, so we got to spend some time with her. I caught a nice 31" blue catfish our first night there, and missed several others. We had several campfires down by the river while fishing at the same time. There are tons of places to go and things to do in the area. Also good places to eat such as Red Pines on Lake Onalaska and the Hungry Point Bar and Trempealeau Hotel in Trempealeau (8 miles away). The only thing that is not obvious from the pics and description is the hill down to the river is bigger than it looks. You will get a bit of a workout going back and forth, which is a good thing. It's a great place and we had a great time. Will definitely go back."

"We arrived on a Friday evening and Cedric was shoveling the snow and putting salt down for us. He had the lights and heat on and even offered to carry our luggage in! What a nice welcome. We loved the quiet of the valley, the amenities of the house (sauna, full kitchen, Jacuzzi tub, huge windows, deck, etc) and the proximity to recreational activities. This is the perfect spot for a romantic get-a-way as well as for a group of fun seekers any time of year! We are from the Madison area, so it is close, there is no doubt, we will BE BACK!"

"My husband and our teenager really enjoyed our stay at your cabin. It was clean, had comfy beds, FANTASTIC water pressure in the showers (always a concern - everyone hates a shower with terrible water pressure), I had everything I needed in your kitchen, and to top it off the view was beautiful. It was very peaceful and was a great get away for the 3 of us. Really allowed us to unwind! We found your description to be accurate and the pictures too. We will have no problem recommending your property to our friends or relatives. It was right off the Great River Road (Hwy. 35) which we drove north to almost Pepin and south to Prairie du Chien."
