  • Comfortable spacious cabin in a peaceful setting

"We rented this cabin for a quick reunion among young families. We found it to be the perfect place to unplug from our devices. Our nature-loving kids had a blast running around the spacious yard, exploring Sugar Creek and trying out the refreshing spring-fed swimming hole out back. The adults had fun grilling each night and the kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows for S'Mores in the fire pit. In the morning we got our exercise by walking up the road to the top of the mountain…what a view!! As we were only there for a short weekend, we didn't get to try out biking or canoeing but I could certainly see that it would be a blast. The house was wonderfully appointed with all the utensils, pots and pans we needed, including a working coffee maker! The large kitchen with generous island was a pleasure to cook in. There were plenty of comfortable beds for our crew along with all the blankets we needed. The kids enjoyed unwinding to Disney movies in the basement at the end of each night, what a great collection! The owner was wonderful to work with and very prompt in seeing to any detail. Thanks again for opening your warm and inviting home to us!"

  • Fantastic B&B with Character!

"We stayed at the Tritsch House while passing through Alma in August. We absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to come back. The place is very welcoming from the outside, and walking distance to pretty much anything in Alma. Inside the house, it was very clean and tidy. You could barely tell there were other guests. The rooms are all beautiful, the owners did a great job maintaining the old world charm of the house. The furniture is all unique and in great condition. The room we stayed in was very spacious and clean. The bathroom had a jacuzzi in it and was huge! The property manager who lives on site was so great. He was very relaxed and personable. He was able to help us figure out where to grab dinner and gave us other recommendations and stories about the area. He was very attentive and wanted to make sure we had a pleasant time. The breakfast was great too - we got to chat with a couple of the other visitors and found out they live nearby our hometown. The kitchen is newly remodeled in this house and it is gorgeous! We would definitely come back to this place when we are in the area again."

  • Serene

"If you're looking for a clean, well-appointed, comfortable, roomy cabin in a quiet setting where cell phones barely work, then this is what you need. You can get reception (text and outgoing calls) if you stand in the road above the cabin. An occasional car may be heard on road below the cabin or the sounds of cows around 8 AM. The rest of the day is gentle sounds of nature and extremely peaceful. The cabin is set in the woods, on a hill. The cabin's "Great Room / Family Room" is located on the second floor. When you walk in you enter into the kitchen which is complete with all utensils, cookware and dinnerware you need. The owner has provided many maps of the area to explore. The cabin's AC unit works great too. Only suggestion is to bring your own drinking water, as the owner has also suggested. We will keep this on our "re-visit list"."

  • Awesome cabin!

"Very clean and nice place to stay. We saw at least 15 bald eagles soaring in the sky. It was kind of rainy out during our stay so we didn't have a fire down by the river, it looked like it would have been fun. Cabin is on a dead end street and the neighbor across the street was very nice to talk to. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone. Lots to do in the surrounding area."
