An excellent getaway location for one who loves the outdoors
"We have stayed at the Cheyenne Valley Farm numerous times and have always greatly enjoyed our stay. This location is excellent for those who want to enjoy the outdoors. The numerous hiking trails, hills, valleys and trout creek provides for excellent scenery and great hiking. There is also a beaver dam on the property. The hiking trails are maintained and the views on several trails are great!
The farmhouse is very neat and clean. Good amenities and a very nice kitchen. Plenty of room with the 5 bedrooms. The front porch is big with several chairs to allow visitors time to kick back, relax and enjoy the view of the hillsides.
We really enjoy staying at this rental and will continue to visit yearly."

"Went with 5 others up for our annual fall fishing trip on the Mississippi. Home is huge with plenty of space for a large group. Home is well appointed with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Very quiet location. Hot tub is out of this world. We will be back!"

"We just had the most wonderful girls weekend. Once you go around the bend in the road you enter paradise!!!! When entering the cottage I was in disbelief that anything could be so beautiful. It was equipped with everything we needed. This property has so much to do. There were 5 of us, with all different interests but each found things to do. We all left ecstatic and may I say even relaxed and revived!!!
The owner was very accommodating. He was so interesting and friendly. I think all 5 of us consider "Loren"our new best friend!
I would think this private. little retreat would make a fantastic anniversary, birthday or Christmas gift. I know I have been going through my Christmas list all ready. Definitely 5 stars from me!"

"My husband and I have been to this beautiful home three times and plan to go back next year again. It is perfect for us and we love the whole area. I especially love the sunsets almost every evening. I have taken at least a dozen pictures that I
can look at all winter. The house itself is great. It is always clean and perfect. It has a fireplace for cold weather and it has an outdoor fire pit for enjoyment. The Jacuzzi is a real plus. We could even watch the sunsets from it. The kitchen is great. It has everything a cook could possible want. I did a lot of cooking and found everything I needed. The trains do pass in back of the house but we love trains and they did not bother us. In fact there was a week with few to no trains and we missed seeing them. There are three pub/restaurant within walking distance. There is a market right down the block that carries a little of everything if you forget to bring something you need. There is a dock and fishing pier down the street for fisherman. There are some good restaurants nearby. Lansing Iowa. about ten miles away has several eating places. The Great River Road House in De Soto, Wi. about 7 miles away has a great view of the Mississippi, great food and pizza. This house is just a great get away spot."
