  • Wonderful re-"TREAT" for large groups!

"Our extended family had a fantastic stay at New Haven. This large home comfortably accommodated our group of 23 and was well equipped and well cared for. The landscape is beautiful and the house has lots of fun features. The kids had a great time playing hide-and-seek in this enormous house. The adults enjoyed cooking, playing games and hiking. The Elroy Sparta bike trail is a lot of fun. Some of our group chose not to bike but still walked through the tunnels on the trail. We had a great time exploring the area and going to Amish stores and bakeries. Horse drawn carriages are as plentiful in this area as cars! We hope to return again next year for more adventures. The owner is very pleasant to work with and refunded our deposit right away."

  • Beautiful Home on the Mississippi

"My husband and I have been to this beautiful home three times and plan to go back next year again. It is perfect for us and we love the whole area. I especially love the sunsets almost every evening. I have taken at least a dozen pictures that I can look at all winter. The house itself is great. It is always clean and perfect. It has a fireplace for cold weather and it has an outdoor fire pit for enjoyment. The Jacuzzi is a real plus. We could even watch the sunsets from it. The kitchen is great. It has everything a cook could possible want. I did a lot of cooking and found everything I needed. The trains do pass in back of the house but we love trains and they did not bother us. In fact there was a week with few to no trains and we missed seeing them. There are three pub/restaurant within walking distance. There is a market right down the block that carries a little of everything if you forget to bring something you need. There is a dock and fishing pier down the street for fisherman. There are some good restaurants nearby. Lansing Iowa. about ten miles away has several eating places. The Great River Road House in De Soto, Wi. about 7 miles away has a great view of the Mississippi, great food and pizza. This house is just a great get away spot."

  • Thanksgiving getaway

"We visited Pepin to have a quiet weekend, cook our own dinner, drive to see eagles in Wabasha and visit the Museum of Marine Art in Winona...mission accomplished! We loved the space...light, bright, clean as a whistle. The kitchen was very well stocked, a delight to cook in, and there were plenty of towels and clean bedding to keep us comfy and warm. Our only suggestion to the owners: Please write down the TV use instructions....it was tough to figure out how to watch anything, and please connect the DVR...we'd brought a bunch of movies, so could not watch them. We would return!"
