"My husband and Golden retriever stayed for two nights. I smiled when I saw house beautiful this place was. We enjoyed the comfortable bed and many blankets available. It was so quiet and peaceful. No noise! The winery was fun and was very pretty to see it from our window in the living room, it was lite up very nicely. I wish the wood had been stocked up on the deck. It was a little work to carry it up, but well worth the beautiful fire! It was very clean. The stars were beautiful too. It was cold so we did not go out too much, but when warmer the outdoor fire pit and deck would be awesome. I would recommend this place, it was a great get away for our family."

"My husband and I have been to this beautiful home three times and plan to go back next year again. It is perfect for us and we love the whole area. I especially love the sunsets almost every evening. I have taken at least a dozen pictures that I
can look at all winter. The house itself is great. It is always clean and perfect. It has a fireplace for cold weather and it has an outdoor fire pit for enjoyment. The Jacuzzi is a real plus. We could even watch the sunsets from it. The kitchen is great. It has everything a cook could possible want. I did a lot of cooking and found everything I needed. The trains do pass in back of the house but we love trains and they did not bother us. In fact there was a week with few to no trains and we missed seeing them. There are three pub/restaurant within walking distance. There is a market right down the block that carries a little of everything if you forget to bring something you need. There is a dock and fishing pier down the street for fisherman. There are some good restaurants nearby. Lansing Iowa. about ten miles away has several eating places. The Great River Road House in De Soto, Wi. about 7 miles away has a great view of the Mississippi, great food and pizza. This house is just a great get away spot."

"There is not enough good to say about this place. Cedric covers every detail for you, from the ease of the contract, to the comfort and cleanliness of the house, to all the amenities. There is nothing you have to think about other than relaxing and connecting with your loved ones, in this incredible setting. The house is in close proximity to Wildcat Mountain, the Kickapoo River, and Hillsboro. We rented kayaks from Drifty's, which provided us great service, hit the Hillsboro Brewing Company for pizza and live music, picked up some specialty cheeses at the cheese shop, and got some pies, veggies, and cucumber relish at the Farmer's market. Our other meals were made around the campfire, gazing at the millions of stars. Thanks for the extra firewood that appeared out of know where. We had a great sibling weekend, and would be happy to return to the Scenic Getaway."

An excellent getaway location for one who loves the outdoors
"We have stayed at the Cheyenne Valley Farm numerous times and have always greatly enjoyed our stay. This location is excellent for those who want to enjoy the outdoors. The numerous hiking trails, hills, valleys and trout creek provides for excellent scenery and great hiking. There is also a beaver dam on the property. The hiking trails are maintained and the views on several trails are great!
The farmhouse is very neat and clean. Good amenities and a very nice kitchen. Plenty of room with the 5 bedrooms. The front porch is big with several chairs to allow visitors time to kick back, relax and enjoy the view of the hillsides.
We really enjoy staying at this rental and will continue to visit yearly."
