"If you're looking for a clean, well-appointed, comfortable, roomy cabin in a quiet setting where cell phones barely work, then this is what you need. You can get reception (text and outgoing calls) if you stand in the road above the cabin. An occasional car may be heard on road below the cabin or the sounds of cows around 8 AM. The rest of the day is gentle sounds of nature and extremely peaceful.
The cabin is set in the woods, on a hill. The cabin's "Great Room / Family Room" is located on the second floor. When you walk in you enter into the kitchen which is complete with all utensils, cookware and dinnerware you need. The owner has provided many maps of the area to explore. The cabin's AC unit works great too. Only suggestion is to bring your own drinking water, as the owner has also suggested.
We will keep this on our "re-visit list"."

"My husband and I have been to this beautiful home three times and plan to go back next year again. It is perfect for us and we love the whole area. I especially love the sunsets almost every evening. I have taken at least a dozen pictures that I
can look at all winter. The house itself is great. It is always clean and perfect. It has a fireplace for cold weather and it has an outdoor fire pit for enjoyment. The Jacuzzi is a real plus. We could even watch the sunsets from it. The kitchen is great. It has everything a cook could possible want. I did a lot of cooking and found everything I needed. The trains do pass in back of the house but we love trains and they did not bother us. In fact there was a week with few to no trains and we missed seeing them. There are three pub/restaurant within walking distance. There is a market right down the block that carries a little of everything if you forget to bring something you need. There is a dock and fishing pier down the street for fisherman. There are some good restaurants nearby. Lansing Iowa. about ten miles away has several eating places. The Great River Road House in De Soto, Wi. about 7 miles away has a great view of the Mississippi, great food and pizza. This house is just a great get away spot."

An excellent getaway location for one who loves the outdoors
"We have stayed at the Cheyenne Valley Farm numerous times and have always greatly enjoyed our stay. This location is excellent for those who want to enjoy the outdoors. The numerous hiking trails, hills, valleys and trout creek provides for excellent scenery and great hiking. There is also a beaver dam on the property. The hiking trails are maintained and the views on several trails are great!
The farmhouse is very neat and clean. Good amenities and a very nice kitchen. Plenty of room with the 5 bedrooms. The front porch is big with several chairs to allow visitors time to kick back, relax and enjoy the view of the hillsides.
We really enjoy staying at this rental and will continue to visit yearly."
