"There were 10 of us that stayed there the first week-end in Aug. This was the first time we had stayed at this house and we were pleasantly surprised. The house was very neat and clean and had all the amenities that we needed. We were there to tube the Kickapoo river and this house is conveniently located to all the area has to offer. There were 2 things that stopped me from giving this an excellent rating. The main bedroom downstairs had a 'musty' smell to it. I am assuming that the house had not been rented for a while and therefore was not 'aired' out enough. The other problem was the pull out bed in the living room. It also smelled bad and was very uncomfortable. Instead of saying the house slept 14 I would say it comfortably accomodates 12. We go tubing on the 'Kick' every year and will definetly try to get back to this place."

"What a neat, clean cabin nestled in the Black River Falls forest! Not far off the road, but far enough to be secluded and quiet. There's a lot to do in the area; we went to Lake Arbitus, Wazee Lake, picked blueberries in Merrillan and hiked in the Castle Mound park area. We had plenty of room for our 5 kids and enjoyed eating on the back patio area, sitting on the front porch, and relaxing by the campfire. Stocked up on groceries at the BRF Walmart about 10 minutes away...ate ice cream at the Dairy Way, and had a great time! The owner was so helpful and prompt in all of our communication; thanks for all of the cozy touches in this cabin!"

"I went over this past Labor Day weekend with my family. We stayed in Bear's Den and it was great! Super clean on the inside and a HUGE bathroom (with washer and dryer.) The lake was so nice and clean, it felt like bath water. It was literally right outside the front door. We also saw ducks, cranes, and other wildlife. It was so quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was wonderful, also very clean and wasn't too drying on the skin. Very spacious (we slept 6 and a baby) and smelled like fresh cedar on the inside. Brian was great and VERY accommodating. Very close to the casino, a great coffee shop (Molly's Rude Awakening) and a cute little downtown area. I highly recommend River Haven for Pedicures as well! Great for family time or a romantic getaway!"

"We had an amazing long weekend at this clean, lovely and secluded cabin. Our cell phones worked fine, although we tried not to let too many people know that! Joel was very helpful and responsive. The kitchen had everything we needed, wood stove kept the cabin toasty warm, and the hot tub with gazebo roof was quiet and relaxing - perfect in light fall rain. The fall leaves were gorgeous, as was the scenery along the Mississippi River. A beautiful spot for a weekend away from the world!"
