  • Awesome cabin!

"Very clean and nice place to stay. We saw at least 15 bald eagles soaring in the sky. It was kind of rainy out during our stay so we didn't have a fire down by the river, it looked like it would have been fun. Cabin is on a dead end street and the neighbor across the street was very nice to talk to. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone. Lots to do in the surrounding area."

  • Excellent Cabin

"We rented this cabin with another family for a long weekend. It was simply perfect. The setting is gorgeous and a bit off the beaten path from the city. While it is nestled in the woods, there is also plenty of green space for the kids to run around. The new play set was a welcomed surprise. The cabin was completely stocked with anything we would need/want (pots, pans, spices, blender, firewood, soap, tourist brochures...you name it). The cabin manager was very accommodating and friendly. We spent the days hiking Wyalusing and Pike’s Peak state parks, and looked forward to returning to the cabin each evening to relax. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone staying in the area; such a great value!"

  • Perfect

"I don't know where to begin! It is an absolutely perfect retreat. When all of us first walked in we were struck by the charm. We explored every room and couldn't help but feel happy! It was so cozy and relaxing. The setting is amazing as we were able to enjoy the peacefulness. We enjoyed watching the wildlife and cannot wait to return when the weather allows us to enjoy the outdoor tranquility! If you are looking for something with modernness and city action this is not the place for you. If you are looking for an escape from hectic life happenings and want to enjoy peace and quiet this is definitely the place for you! The owners are absolutely wonderful and you can tell they go above and beyond to make your visit the best you have ever had!"

  • Very Nice!

"We stayed for a long weekend in June. The place was extemely clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy so we did not get on the lake. The marina is just down the road so it would have been a nice location for access. Overall, the cabin is wonderful. I would say the only downside is that there is not a second bedroom. There is plenty of space for a group but the beds in the loft were very small. There are futons and such but they are in the main living area so it would just be nice for each couple to have their own private room, still a great place. Tim and Jane were awesome to work with, super friendly and informative. I loved the tips on places to go (especially helpful on a rainy weekend). We did manage a hike on Maiden Rock that was beautiful. We shopped and ate in Stockholm, went to the Nelson Creamery, the Eagle Center in Wabasha and really enjoyed the Villa Bellezza winery. Lots to do and see, hopefully next time it will be sunny!"
