  • Just right.

"My husband and I spent 4 nights in this charming house in Ferryville. We chose this place as it close to where I grew up and was centrally located to visiting friends, family and old neighbors. It was just the right size for two of us, but 2 more couples could have joined easily. We had plenty of space for visiting friends and while we didn't cook in the kitchen, it was well-equipped. I highly suggest a morning walk down to the Swing Inn for the local breakfast. Deb makes it easy to come and go. Can't wait to return."

  • Wonderful getaway!

"We had an amazing long weekend at this clean, lovely and secluded cabin. Our cell phones worked fine, although we tried not to let too many people know that! Joel was very helpful and responsive. The kitchen had everything we needed, wood stove kept the cabin toasty warm, and the hot tub with gazebo roof was quiet and relaxing - perfect in light fall rain. The fall leaves were gorgeous, as was the scenery along the Mississippi River. A beautiful spot for a weekend away from the world!"

  • Beautiful lake, woods, cottage.

"We loved staying in Pheasant Cottage. The hot tub and gas fireplace were particularly nice--along with an extremely comfortable bed. Loved being able to cook and walk around the lake and in the woods. It was so quiet. The cottage and grounds were very clean also. So much better than a motel room. Also a good location as it was just minutes from town. Very reasonable rates. Great communication in booking the cottage also."

  • Serene

"If you're looking for a clean, well-appointed, comfortable, roomy cabin in a quiet setting where cell phones barely work, then this is what you need. You can get reception (text and outgoing calls) if you stand in the road above the cabin. An occasional car may be heard on road below the cabin or the sounds of cows around 8 AM. The rest of the day is gentle sounds of nature and extremely peaceful. The cabin is set in the woods, on a hill. The cabin's "Great Room / Family Room" is located on the second floor. When you walk in you enter into the kitchen which is complete with all utensils, cookware and dinnerware you need. The owner has provided many maps of the area to explore. The cabin's AC unit works great too. Only suggestion is to bring your own drinking water, as the owner has also suggested. We will keep this on our "re-visit list"."
