  • Perfect little spot

"My daughter and I came to Sheridan to stay for a week. This little house is in the perfect spot. Easy access to downtown Sheridan and minutes away from the VA. It was a perfect home away from home. It had all the amenities anyone needs to stay comfortably for a week or a few months. It's clean and quiet, just what we were looking for!"

  • Total Peace and Quiet

"We wanted to rediscover the Big Horns after driving across the top of them a year ago going from Yellowstone to our hotel in Buffalo at midnight. We found this place and it was great, awesome hosts that had all the bases covered. We found we didn't have to go far to explore the Big Horns, they came to us....Great views of the highest peaks from the deck, great room, loft and the master. Oh, and lets see, moose, elk, antelope and deer all came through the bottom of the meadow at one time or another. We fished Tie Hack which was beautiful and drove Crazy Woman Canyon. Get your groceries in Buffalo and you are set, everything we needed was there. Great star gazing at night around the campfire, awesome family time as the kids hang on your every word when you are in a setting like that (and at home too). This place is a can't miss. Missing it already now that we are back in the flatlands."

  • Unique and Wonderful!

"We planned a big family get-together in Sheridan. We gave each of our children the option of hotel rooms or a rental home for the week of their stay. My son chose the Waldorf A'Story for his family -- and I'm so happy he did! His family had a delightful time in the amazing guest house. (It looks just like the pictures but it is so much more amazing in person). The girls loved the creek, the kittens living out back, the rock climbing and "exploring". With so many people in our group, this turned out be be a wonderful gathering place for family and friends. We had a BBQ and card party there one evening and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. As Saturday approached (our family picnic day) we began to worry about rain. Our caterer (recommended, by the way, by Patty, the wonderful owner of the Waldorf) suggested we consider moving the event indoor. Where to find a place on such short notice?!? No problem! Patty generously offered to open her huge two story "barn/garage" for our event. It was perfect! I can't say enough about this amazing home and the wonderful owners. I've rented several times now through VRBO and this location is beyond a doubt the most unique and fun property we've leased. Loved it, loved the area, and the scenery and the owners. I can't think of one negative thing to say except the time went by too quickly."

  • Great Place

"Our stay at Melissa's Cottages was perfect, even better than the pictures show. The property was extremely clean and well kept. Melissa spent a good half our explaining everything in the house and made sure we had her number in case we had questions or needed anything. We were made to feel right at home from the moment we came in. The house is beautiful and very cozy while still being modern in appliances and decor. Sheridan is a fabulous town with a lot to do as far as little main street shops and restaurants as well as great hiking only 20-30 minutes driving. We would recommend this place to anyone and everyone and have already done so with friends."
