Sheridan Vacation Rentals Can Be a Sportsman's Paradise

Sheridan, Wyoming is truly a sportsman's paradise and it's all conveniently located close to many Sheridan vacation rentals. With the backdrop of the incredible Big Horn Mountains, you can have a great time in many activities, such as dude ranches or camping and hiking. There is also mountain biking, canoeing and hunting. In the winter, you can try your hand at skiing or snowmobiling.

Enjoy the Annual Summer Events in Sheridan

Sheridan, Wyoming hosts the annual Buffalo Bill Days held in June and the Sheridan WYO Rodeo held each July. For 75 years, the WYO Rodeo has been one of the top 50 PRCA rodeos in the United States. Besides the traditional Rodeo fare, there is also a pancake breakfast, Beds Along the Big Horns bed race, Sneakers and Spurs foot race and a parade. Other events include a carnival at the fairgrounds, and a golf tournament at the country club. In addition, in 2006, the True West Magazine ranked Sheridan as the top western town in the United States.

There are Many Things to See and Enjoy During a Sheridan Vacation

The Bighorn Mountains, located half-way between Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone National Park, are a great vacation destination in themselves, with an incredibly diverse and beautiful landscape. Whether you are enjoying a Sheridan vacation rental, or enjoying a Big Horn National Forest cottage, do not miss some of the local sites such as the Sheridan Flouring Mills; the Mill's smokestack is a United States Geological Survey map reference station. There are several museums including the Sheridan County Museum and King's Saddlery Museum whose exhibits feature Western leather work and history. There is also a buffalo and elk conservatory to enjoy.
