"Our vacation at Mountain Shangri-La was wonderful. From the most beautiful panoramic scenes every morning, amazing view of the Milky Way each night, and quiet bliss of the surrounding forest, this was a fantastic getaway for our family of eight. This is not the newest cabin in the area, but its rustic nature is part of its charm. The cabin has a great-room layout (excellent for family fun), kitchen, and comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. We were about 20 minutes from downtown DuBois, and loved being at the 'end of the line' near the top of the mountain, so we could have peaceful seclusion, without traffic going up and down the road that lower cabins experience. On the last day of our retreat we witnessed a mama moose and her calf, about forty yards from the entrance to the cabin. I'm hoping the owner will post the picture and video... it was exhilerating! Thanks for sharing your home with us!"

"My sisters and I get together every year for a weeklong horseback riding trip with our horses and we couldn't have found a better place. The accommodations for the horses were great and we could sit on the porch and watch them graze. The views from the cabin are spectacular. The cabin is clean and comfortable and feels much bigger because of the high ceilings and big windows. The location is great. We were able to make day trips to Yellowstone and Jackson and we could ride right out from the ranch. There were also plenty of trails close by if you want to haul. You are only a few minutes out of Dubois as well. The Nostalgia Inn is a great place for dinner and you can't beat happy hour at the Rustic Tavern. Marian was a wonderful host and gave us lots of information about places to ride and shop. It was a terrific trip and we hated to leave."

"This home was exactly what our family needed to unplug for a week! (There is cell phone and internet connection) The view was breath taking. The house was very clean and spacious. There was plenty of room for us and our 3 adult children. There was so much to see and do in the area we decided we will be back in the near future. Our family's favorite was the 'cool' glass room. Both the view of the mountains and the temperature was very cool 24/7. Merlin W."

"This cabin is larger than it appears in the photos. Everyone thought their beds were quite comfortable and there is plenty of storage area for clothing in all bedrooms. The bathrooms were nice and the kitchen was well equipped. The view you see in the photo doesn't even begin to describe what you see from the deck. The Absaroka Mountains were awesome at any time of the day/evening. The gravel/dirt road up to the cabin was very well maintained although a little tricky for motorcycles. Access to the national forest was as easy as described. We have decided the deer and elk were getting paid to pose for us. Every morning and every evening they were all over the cabin grounds. Our only complaint is there wasn't a light over the dining table. We would definitely recommend this cabin and will try to work it into our next trip to that area."
