"Unfortunately we were unable to take our vacation this year in Wyoming, but the owner was wonderful to work with and very understanding of our situation. We will definitely try to reschedule this trip in the future with her."

  • Great Cabin!

"This is a great cabin for a relaxing week or weekend. Views are awesome and the cabin feels very private. There are a couple of other cabins in the area, but this cabin is out in front with undisturbed views that stretch for miles. I was concerned that the other cabins might interfere with privacy...but I found those concerns to be unfounded once I arrived. The town of Dubois is about fifteen minutes away and has a few places to eat, a grocery store (fresh meat, produce, etc...perfect for finding something good to grill!), and some nice places to shop. Close enough to the Grand Tetons to make a day trip...a bit of a drive to Yellowstone, but certainly doable. It took about an hour to get to the Grand Teton junction...even with a little construction. The cabin is located a few miles up a mountain...easily driven with 4-wheel drive (and even 2-wheel in nice weather)...but a few miles further up it opens into miles and miles of ATV trails. I highly recommend picking up ATVs for a day and hitting the ATV trails...we went for hours without running into anyone else. Four of us stayed at the cabin for about 5 days...and the water supply was more than enough for us to use the cabin comfortably. The cabin itself is very comfortable, clean, and you will relax quickly once you arrive. Plenty of room to sleep the whole family. Multiple decks give you great views of the area...perfect for relaxing on a cool evening while you wait for the pellet stove to warm up! If we're ever back in the area...this is where we will look to stay!"

"We spent 9 nights at this beautiful house in late July and early August 2013. There were nine of us ( 3 generations). A breathtaking place. Every room has a beautiful view. The laundry and 2 ice makers were a big help. An excellent base for trips to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We made ATV trips on the adjacent Shoshone National Forest Trails that depart from the property. Big hits at the house were; views, grilling out on the 2 BBQ grills, sitting on the porch, playing games, and making SMORES. The people of Dubois were very nice, friendly and it was less commercial than other places. Dubois has everything you need for your vacation and is only 10 minutes from the house. Cowboy Cafe has great food. We enjoyed the Friday night Rodeo, the National Day of the Cowboy, the National Bighorn Sheep Center and the Dubois Museum. The house is well equipped and we lacked nothing. Owner is easy to work with. We highly recommend this house."

Dubois Travel Tips

Delight in Dubois Lodging

Dubois, Wyoming invites you to come and visit where the real cowboys live. While the area is infused with a southwest look and feel, it is also full of Dubois lodging options, including Dubois cabins and a myriad of other Wyoming vacation rentals. Beyond where you choose to stay, you will also be amazed at all of the activities and things for you to do while visiting the area.

Where History Meets Amenities and Activities

The town of Dubois still reflects its old world style from when it was first settled back in the 1800s. The building architecture and the southwestern charm of the residents make it feel like you have stepped back in a simpler place in time. Indoor and outdoor activities that keep you busy during your stay help you feel the flavor of the southwest and have a great time simultaneously.

Some of the activities you can take part in include golfing, pack trips, camping, hiking, biking, fishing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, skiing and snowshoeing. Shopping, spa treatments and dining are some additional extracurricular activities you can enjoy when you step outside of your Dubois lodging — be it Dubois cabins or other single-family vacation rentals. Your dining experience will bring cuisine such as buffalo burgers and other "down-home" meals to your table.

Accommodations & Amenities

Vacation rentals run the gambit when it comes to choosing a place to stay. If you are in Dubois for a romantic stay and getaway, you can rent a one bedroom cabin, lodge or home. For bigger groups, up to four-bedroom homes are available to rent. Inside or outside your vacation rental property, you will find the comforts of home and the fun of the great outdoors. Some cabins are but steps away from fly fishing, the Shoshine National Forest, Wind River or a myriad of other natural wonders.
