  • Second time renting this property and loved it just as much as the first time!

"Our family met here for the 2nd time as four of our kids came from the west and we came from the east. It felt like home to all of us! We want to move here but that's not in the cards. This month rental was the next best thing! Saw a bunch of wildlife again... a mother moose with her calf....could have jumped off the back deck onto it's back! Saw an eagle one day and unlike last year, this year we had a fox visit us for a few days and then a great grey owl came by one evening and hung out. Pretty awesome! It IS a wonderful setting and it's still hard to believe that you can see the Tetons from inside the house from many windows. So convenient to the ski area that you can have lunch back at the house if you want. Also found out that you can drive your car on the back side of the Elk refuge and actually be in the refuge where we saw a few eagles, many antelope and a bunch of Big Horn sheep...all up close and personal! Amazing!!! We all hope to be able to come again next year! Thank you again for sharing!!!"

  • Perfect location!

"We had the opportunity to spend the summer in Jackson...and I looked everywhere for a place to rent, and fortunately found this...couldn't have been more perfect. The location on the edge of town enabled us to walk anywhere in town, and still be just a short drive from Grand Teton NP, as well as centrally located to explore other areas of the Jackson Hole area. We loved sitting by the river in the evening (and wading in the river after a long hike!) and enjoying our wine and cheese. I think of being back out there all the time...really felt like home. Very comfortable and convenient. Enjoyed having a kitchen, but also was great to be close to so many downtown restaurants. Rachel gave us a list of what restaurants, stores, etc., are nearby. Wish we were going back!! We looked at other areas while we were there, "just in case" we make it back sometime, but decided that what we found with Brookside really fit all our needs. Place was very quiet, too... Highly recommend this place."

  • Charming cabin with pond, gorgeous Teton views!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cowboy Cabin, only 10 minutes from Jackson Hole and a short drive via the very scenic Moose/Wilson road to Grand Teton park entrance. The Moose/Wilson road is also a prime location to spot moose, elk, owls, and other wildlife. The cabin is well appointed-gorgeous kitchen with everything you need, granite countertops. Two bedrooms with very comfortable beds, master has a gorgeous tile bathroom. Views of the Tetons are amazing, as well as the view of the horses on the ranch. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the kayak and paddleboat on our own private pond in the backyard as well as the horses, chickens, cat, ducks, and dogs. There are wonderful bike paths from the house with gorgeous scenery to take in while you ride. Dan and Debbie were very attentive to our needs during our stay and gave us helpful suggestions about things to do in the area. This area is a perfect place to stay, close to so many things. The house was well equipped with many books/guides on Teton and Yellowstone, as well as a wide variety of DVD's and movies suitable for all ages. Our kids would have been content to stay at the house the entire time and not venture out/sight-see at all! We look forward to staying here again someday!"

  • Amazing place to unwind and relax

"We could only get into the Painted Cabin for three nights, and after our visit, we wished we were able to stay for a month or more. The cabin is in a great location outside the small community of Wilson, near the main roads that lead into Teton Village and Moose (a place, not the critter) and then another road about 10 minutes from Jackson (although 25 minutes in traffic). The photos of the interior and exterior are exactly what you will get, only they don't show how relaxed your will feel once you arrive. We sat on the porch drinking a glass of wine and were greeted by Roxie, the owners' small Border Terrier, and the neighbors' dog, Onyx, who looks like a big black wolf but is as gentle as they come. The loaner dogs helped us to miss our own pets less. We met the owner the first afternoon, but didn't feel as if we were intruding, even though their house was just yards away, hidden by trees. There is parking right next to the cabin. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed--plenty of pots and pans, utensils, gadgets, blender, toaster, Americana mugs--even the first day's worth of coffee and various teas. There was a linen closet with extra blankets, towels, and even beach towels. The living room had tons of reading materials about local attractions, including magazines, guide books, and coffee table books about the area. No need to bring a book or magazine of your own. There are also brochures for raft trips, horseback riding, and other activities that are up-to-date. The two bedrooms are spacious, and the master bath is big enough for two people to be in it at once, including a huge shower. There's a hairdryer in the vanity (one less thing to bring!) and sample-size bath products. The half bath is just off the hallway, and would not be suitable if there were a second couple sharing the cabin, or for kids. Think of it as a powder room. On the front porch, there's a BBQ, a small table that can be easily moved for having breakfast or happy hour, and four vintage metal chairs. We moved the chairs out to the nice-sized lawn when it was cool in the early morning, enjoying the view. The location is near the small community of Wilson, and several restaurants are nearby (not walking distance but a short drive). Book early if you want to rent this cabin--it will become more popular in the summer as the rates for accommodations in Jackson and Teton Village go up. You couldn't ask for a better place to unwind, relax, and fall back in love."
