  • Cozy spot for birders

"This comfortable and cozy cabin was perfect for my friends and I for a 9 day stay for birding, hiking, and relaxing. The home itself was so well stocked , I could not believe how lucky we were! We used the wood stove twice which warmed the living room/kitchen area quite well! Although each room has its own heating system. The cabin is well situated between Yellowstone and Grand Tetons National Parks, so we visited both - The Tetons more than Yellowstone due to its closer proximity. The bedrooms were fine, the smallest one - a half bath included- had no windows , but my friend loved having the facilities so close to her bed. Fall is a beautiful time of year to be in this area. The Aspens were beginning to turn when we arrived and by the time we left were a lovely golden color! The hike around String Lake was aglow with autumn colors! It was rutting season for the Elk, so large Bull Elk were wandering everywhere challenging one another. I definitely recommend this lovely home !"

  • March week at Jackson

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful family week in Jackson and couldn't have been happier with the house, the weather, the skiing and everything about being in Jackson Hole. Only negative was all the construction going on around the cabins."

  • Amazing place to unwind and relax

"We could only get into the Painted Cabin for three nights, and after our visit, we wished we were able to stay for a month or more. The cabin is in a great location outside the small community of Wilson, near the main roads that lead into Teton Village and Moose (a place, not the critter) and then another road about 10 minutes from Jackson (although 25 minutes in traffic). The photos of the interior and exterior are exactly what you will get, only they don't show how relaxed your will feel once you arrive. We sat on the porch drinking a glass of wine and were greeted by Roxie, the owners' small Border Terrier, and the neighbors' dog, Onyx, who looks like a big black wolf but is as gentle as they come. The loaner dogs helped us to miss our own pets less. We met the owner the first afternoon, but didn't feel as if we were intruding, even though their house was just yards away, hidden by trees. There is parking right next to the cabin. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed--plenty of pots and pans, utensils, gadgets, blender, toaster, Americana mugs--even the first day's worth of coffee and various teas. There was a linen closet with extra blankets, towels, and even beach towels. The living room had tons of reading materials about local attractions, including magazines, guide books, and coffee table books about the area. No need to bring a book or magazine of your own. There are also brochures for raft trips, horseback riding, and other activities that are up-to-date. The two bedrooms are spacious, and the master bath is big enough for two people to be in it at once, including a huge shower. There's a hairdryer in the vanity (one less thing to bring!) and sample-size bath products. The half bath is just off the hallway, and would not be suitable if there were a second couple sharing the cabin, or for kids. Think of it as a powder room. On the front porch, there's a BBQ, a small table that can be easily moved for having breakfast or happy hour, and four vintage metal chairs. We moved the chairs out to the nice-sized lawn when it was cool in the early morning, enjoying the view. The location is near the small community of Wilson, and several restaurants are nearby (not walking distance but a short drive). Book early if you want to rent this cabin--it will become more popular in the summer as the rates for accommodations in Jackson and Teton Village go up. You couldn't ask for a better place to unwind, relax, and fall back in love."

  • Beautiful Jackson Hole Family Retreat!

"Rancho Alegre is one-of-a-kind and truly special. The ranch is perfectly located just minutes from town. Our large family (13 total) were entertained at all times. We enjoyed relaxing on the many decks, playing pool, seeing all the farm animals (goats, chickens, horses, pigs... you name it!), cooking meals in the fabulous kitchen and dining together in front of the massive stone fireplace. Shana, the property manager, is awesome and extremely accommodating and helpful in every way. We all loved her! This is a property where many memories were made, shared and will never be forgotten. We can't wait to return!"
