  • Perfect for a couple

"This is a nice, compact condo that is great for two. It's well kept, clean and has everything necessary to cook breakfast or a simple meal, but doing the dishes is a bit of a challenge in the small sink. At night is quiet as the large floor to ceiling window faces the back alley. Parking is nice, off street in a private lot. The free Summit Stage bus system in town is great to get around. We rarely use our car while there. The area is excellent for outdoor activities with the extensive (paved) trail system as well as several nice MTB trails and hiking trails."

  • Stunning Views from a Cozy Cottage

"The Yellow Cottage was exactly what we were looking for - a beautiful location with sweeping views over the water while being rustically affordable. The house itself is very cozy and cute and felt larger than it looked in photos. The big living/dining room is great for congregating as a group! You won't find all the bells and whistles of fancier homes and inns in the area, like boutique shampoos or giant fluffy towels, but you won't pay for them either. The bathrooms are older/outdated but serviceable - they were the only thing we felt could use minor upgrades. But who cares about older bathrooms with these views?! We spent relaxing mornings and evenings sipping coffee then wine on the screened porch and walked out on the rocks to dip our toes in the brisk ocean water in the afternoons. Our stay at the Yellow Cottage was a heavenly and relaxing vacation that didn't break the bank!"

  • Excellent location and beautiful view from the lanai but encountered a few snags

"The condo is in an excellent location. Within waking distance are great restaurants, a supermarket, and snorkel rental shops. There is no beach at the resort but you only need to walk a few minutes to get to the beach. We enjoyed many barbecues by the pool. Our favourite thing about the unit is the ocean view. We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai every morning. My 6 month old loved to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Unfortunately, I cannot give the condo 5 stars due to a few issues we had. I requested a pack and play for my baby and there was not one in the unit when we arrived. As we arrived past midnight we put baby to sleep on our bed and none of us slept well the first night. We called the caretaker the next day and the pack and play was delivered but not without a second phone call late in the day. I inspected it and there were tiny little bugs crawling all over it. I called the caretaker back and he said he would disinfect it. After he "cleaned" it the bugs were still there. We ended up cleaning it ourselves. Baby could not sleep in the bed that night as it was wet. Needless to say, we didn't sleep well for a second night. During our stay we saw two cockroaches in the unit. We took out the garbage daily but somehow they got in. While the unit is well stocked with towels, beach chairs, and kitchen supplies we wished they had tea towels, tissues, more toilet paper and more paper towels. We ended up buying a few things and leaving them in the unit for the next guests. Also, we were charged a $15/ day resort fee by the resort which was an unexpected charge."
