Hornblower on the Beach -- A Sugar Beach Condo for Beach Lovers
"We have been back three times to St. Croix. We stay at this condo each time and it's very nice. The beach is all ours and never has more than a few people at any one time. This condo steps right onto the sand and is right in front of the ocean. Not all condos have this access. The enclosed patio is secure and you will spend a lot of time here! The breeze off of the ocean is perfect and you can sleep with the doors open at night and hear the ocean. The King size beds are lovely with a very high quality mattress and the pillows are so nice! I want to buy some for my house! Staff is very nice and helpful and will check in with you to see what you may need when you arrive. The pool is so clean and beautiful. The condo association cleans the beach up daily. Snorkeling area is right there! With a reef just beyond for scuba diving. A nice grocery store, Food Town, is a very short distance to this condo, as well as some great restaurants on the North Shore. Downtown Christiansted is a short ride."

"My wife and our three kids were looking for a last minute VRBO close to my cousin's house in Bird Rock, CA. Well, this little gem popped up and was only a mile from where they lived. We had a really nice conversation with the owner and she made sure our arrival was an easy one. She left the key out under the mat (felt very safe) and there was also a little Banana Bread in the fridge for us:) You are literally blocks from the beach and the street parking was not bad at all. We will be coming back!"

"My husband, young son and I spent a wonderful long weekend in this comfortable cottage after Thanksgiving. Cozy, clean and inviting, this cottage was the perfect home base from which to enjoy a more quiet time on the island. The owner was a pleasure to work with - a very easy process."

"This is a wonderful little apartment in the heart of Rome, where the streets are narrow, and the atmosphere is electric. Most of the major tourist sites are within 20-30 minute walking distance, including the Vatican, Coliseum, Pantheon, Church of San Luigi dei Francesi (a must see for the three Caravaggio’s), and Trevi Fountain. The best part is that you feel like you have moved into the city. A wonderful restaurant Mimi e Coco is just outside the front door. And, a few short steps down the street is Frigidarium, the best gelato we had in Italy, and for just 2 Euros for a small cone (which is plenty). The taxi stand is just a short walk down the street, and we did take a taxi from the airport to our front door for about 50 Euros. Plus, given that you have an apartment, it was easy to eat and cook at the apartment because a Carrefour Express supermarket is also a short walk down the street. In the evenings, Piazza Navarro around the corner was filled with entertainers. Yet, despite all of the activity surrounding us, the apartment was completely quiet. Before our trip the property manager Alessandro was quick to respond to our emails with any questions. And, upon our arrival Domitilla met us with the keys, and visited with us a while to share helpful directions and ideas. The only thing that was not perfect was the bed, which had a harder futon-style mattress. We were not used to this and it did leave us a bit stiff in the mornings. Also, take note that the bed is upstairs in a loft, so be careful not to sleep walk."
