La Saladita review
"We're brand new to surfing but had heard La Saladita was a great place to learn. That this house was stocked with surf boards made it all very easy. To my delight, the house was also stocked with SUPs, white water kayaks, and boogie boards - a water enthusiast's dream. The presence of those ww kayaks cut my surfing career short, but the kids and my husband had a blast on the boards and now are hooked.
The house is magical and the caretakers, Alfonso and Alicia, truly gems. We fell into an easy rhythm of fresh fruit in the morning, lots of beach time, splashing in the pool, lovely meals on the covered deck overlooking the ocean, naps in the hammocks, and just generally reveling in the warm air and long sunsets. You should GO; this house is pretty much perfect."

"This is the perfect house for a perfect weekend getaway. Wonder views over looking the lake from both inside and outside the home. The view extends t both bedrooms were you too can wake up the sun rising on the water. The house is very well decorated and extremely clean. Came completely furnished with all you would need, just bring food and drinks. Great patio for hanging out and BBQ'ing, or just relaxing to the sounds of nature. Small store very near by for any last minute snacks or food ideas, gas and odds & ends. Very close to the marina and boat ramp if you bring your own. If not boat rentals are also available at the marina. I just can't say enough about what a wonderful place this is and what a great weekend we had.
I definitely will being staying here again in the future and have no reservations about doing so."

Great Christmas Vacation - Everything Christmas is supposed to be with none of the stress.
"This is our second time staying at McCosh and our 5th or 6th time renting from Teresa. McCosh itself is very well decorated and the views from the balconies are second to none. In the wintertime, the sun sets directly in front of the house into the ocean...truly beautiful and sure to make you pause to count your lucky stars you've been fortunate enough to come to CSB. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped, having all equipment necessary to support a low-country boil and everything else we needed to cook. Outside, there is a goody closet with beach chairs, beach toys, boogie boards, umbrellas, etc. and an outside shower and fish cleaning sink/station. Of particular note is the convenience of McCosh...it's a very short walk to Scallop Cove General Store and there is a very short boardwalk to the beach. The beach itself is great here...we saw dolphins most every morning and evening and the water was warm enough in December to wade in to do some surf fishing. Our dogs loved it too...some mornings it was so deserted that we were able to take them off the leash and let them run to their heart's content. We even built a fire on the beach on Christmas Day evening and had a old-fashioned oyster roast. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that you can't go wrong with McCosh...my wife literally shed a tear or two as we drove away from our week-long "Christmas Vacation". We'll be back."

"We loved this place: nice location to explore Gold (and wine) Country, beautiful outdoor areas: pool, deck, gazebo, gorgeous view of hills and river, hiking along the river available from the house. It's in a quiet neighborhood.
The house was clean, private and secluded with a nice layout for 3 couples. We never used the other nice bedroom with the TV and balcony. Beds were comfy. Kitchen had all the items we needed -- and then some.
There were a few minor things that we couldn't find or get to work, as in any rental -- but, that was our fault, since we didn't call for help ... because it was either so minor that we didn't care or we found a solution. Honestly, we were pretty lazy with the pool and surroundings to even bother making a call for unimportant stuff.
The property manager was very helpful; we always got a quick reply to questions.
It is worth noting that:
-Credit cards are only accepted through PayPal, which adds a hefty fee.
-The property is actually in Valley Springs; Angels Camp is about 30 minutes away. Valley Springs was great for us, since it was closer to Plymouth/Shenandoah Valley wine country, Amador City, and Sutter Creek.
We'll be back! It was a great, warm 3 day get-away from the fog of San Francisco."
