"FINALLY getting around to leaving a review.....
We stayed at the cottage from 9/3-9/7. It was just me, my son (15yrs) & our dog. Linda was so helpful leading up to our arrival date, answering many questions since this was our 1st time in Alburgh. The cottage was very clean & very cozy. The screened-in porch with the table & chairs was wonderful for eating our meals at. Everything worked really well, the tv, dvd player, fridge, microwave, toaster & stove. There was a row boat on the property with life jackets which was awesome! We went out fishing several times. (a side note.... if you're going to fish Champlain, be ready! Our gear wasn't quite up to the test. The fish are HUGE! Use higher test line, bigger lures & bring a net :) ) Linda did a wonderful job leaving little notes around the house with helpful "tips" for things around the house. Also a binder on the kitchen table that had a lot of helpful information too, emergency numbers, hospital info, local recreation etc. The weekend was perfect! Very relaxing & exactly what I was looking for on this little getaway. Alburgh is a quaint town with lots of farms, which I love since I'm not a big city gal. If you're looking for a cozy place to relax & enjoy the scenery, this is the place! Very happy we chose this cottage & very thankful for all Linda's help."

"I ratify the other reviews. We were three couples who stayed a week and spent most of our active time riding our bikes on the fantastic Trail of the Coeur d'Alene. We also rented a boat from Mike and Patty for the day to tour the lake, which was good fun.
Mike and Patty are excellent local hosts who both grew up in the Harrison area. The house is very nice with a large 4 stall garage for all your toys and a good driveway. One of the two downstairs bedrooms is a bit small, but the three beds were all good. Everyone slept well and played hard. Both the upper and lower decks are great with nice views. If you are there in the hot months, bring an extra umbrella to supplement the one that is there for late afternoon when the sun is hard to shield (tie to railing) or simply move to the lower deck.
It is a steep gravel road down to the lake, communal dock, and paved bike trail. Most will probably choose to drive down and park unless you are on a mountain bike.
Many mornings we rode the bike trail to Plummer, a wonderful 28 mile round trip route along the lake and up through a delightful forested valley. A perfect and gorgeous workout to start the day. Go the other way up the river and you have another 30 lovely miles (one way) until the trail starts to parallel I-90. Wildlife abounds in both directions. Take a day and ride the super Hiawatha Trail at the divide.
Harrison is just a few miles away and is fun and quaint. It gets busy on weekends, but can be sleepy during the week."

"When gathering family from five states and great distances, the destination has to be good and Life 0'Rily did not disappoint. We ranged in age from 4months to 70+, filled every bed and enjoyed every moment of our 50th wedding anniversary celebration there.
Vacation rentals are rarely as well equipped, comfortable and attractive as Life o'Rily. The Four Seasons Community was likewise unusually attractive, well planned and maintained, with many family friendly amenities. Our week there flew by far too quickly in spite of poor weather and when Saturday morning arrived we all hated to leave.
The owners were a pleasure to work with, gracious and tirelessly helpful with all our questions. They have put a great deal of thought into making their house as comfortable and enjoyable as possible."
