  • Very nice

"We took our 2 young children to beach for the first time and this location was perfect. Right on the beach. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The only thing we had difficulty with was the lock on the door. It was very difficult to use. It took 2 days for my husband to get the hang of it but I never did. The staff was very nice, though, and came to help us with it several times. It was annoying but we would still rent this unit again."

  • Incredible stay on the Big Island!

"Beautiful home that worked out perfectly for our first time on the Big Island. Seven in our group, very comfortable. Newlyweds got the lower level suite, and Mom, Dad, two brothers and Grandma stayed upstairs. The house is everything Peter and Darla described. Every day we saw turtles from the lanai or out the bedroom windows. Easy walk to snorkel. Kona is a great base camp to explore the entire island. After being gone several hours, we were so spoiled to return to Hale Honu and truly relax. The evening we arrived, I needed some guidance and sent a text to Peter, who immediately called me and answered my concern. I knew if I needed anything he would be easily contacted and fix any problems. The rooms have extremely comfortable beds, plenty of storage, and the kitchen is wonderful. Staying on the coast was amazing, with daily views of turtles, colorful saltwater fish, unbelievable sunsets, and overall just an amazingly relaxing place to hang out. Thanks Peter and Darla!"

  • Beautiful Beach House (minus upstairs neighbor)

"My significant other surprised me this past weekend for my 30th birthday. He had all our friends and family from Seattle fly down to surprise me. The weekend was perfect and the beach house was awesome. The view is amazing, the people watching is the best, and the house came with anything we needed. The one and only downfall was the neighbor who lives upstairs. We were warned about him which was very helpful and nice but we didn't think he would be as nasty as he was. He almost ruined the weekend for me. First night, he got very angry for putting our trash bag in the garage. We put it next to OUR door and OUR car. Secondly, he came down every hour to tell us to turn off our was 11am and it was already quiet enough that I could not even hear it from upstairs. It's a vacation home, a vacation spot, THE BEACH. It's going to be loud and full of fun, excited people. If he wasn't there, I would have given the extra star."

  • Excellent accommodation for two!

"Everything about the apartment was great for a short 3-night trip to Venice. Located just across the water from San Marco, it provided the perfect distance away from the tourists there (although not too much at this time of year) yet very easy to get to all sites within the area. The apartment was exactly as advertized and we had no difficulty with it whatsoever. We bought 3-day Alilaguna tickets on line before arriving in Venice and found it extremely useful. It allowed us to get to and from the airport as well as all boat trips during the stay.(The Alilaguna stop we used for the apartment was Zitelle, just one stop away from San Marco). The price also included a guided tour of Murano and Burano. The really good thing about Alilaguna is that their boats were never crowded, unlike the more frequent and more locally-used ACTV boats.....would strongly recommend Alilaguna over ACTV even if it is a bit more expensive. The only thing I would suggest for the apartment is to have a bit more light in the bedroom , (e.g. a bright floor lamp)."
