No Wildfire Getaway
"Our families were supposed to go to the eastside, but the smoke was so bad, decided we'd stay on the west and visited this great getaway on Mt Baker. The house was very well equipped with plenty of condiments and cooking gear as well as about 10 pairs of Sasquatch slippers for the whole crew. The owner's were very easy to deal with it and extremely gracious when we lost power (the entire area was down) for about 10 hours during a windstorm (400,000+ lost power in the Seattle area where we escaped from). There was a great creek for the kids to explore about a half mile away and all it in all it was a great little getaway. Just one note, no internet and no cell access, though they have a landline and lots of DVD, a Wii, etc. Be a great location for winter exploration of Mt Baker."

"I was nominated to come up with an afforfdable place to stay after a conference for several people. This was no an easy task to fill. Especially after someone on craiglist thought they would cheat us. Adam was easy accomodating and a genuine person. He has a business in Vegas so we took a chance. The house is in a nice neighborhood not far from the strip and worth every penny. The pool was a nice place to come and relax and the house is very clean and nice. Your going to love the master bedroom bath. The master bedromm bed wis as comfortable as they get.
Thank you Adam you ROCK. You made me look likea genius.

"We absolutely adored our time at this lakefront cottage. It was more than we could ever have asked for. We spent 4 nights over New Years here and fully unplugged. I honestly didn't know what to expect at the cottage as the pictures didn't show much, but there's no way that pictures could do justice to this well appointed and thought out place. We stopped for groceries in Colebrook, NH on our way up, and we got many different spices and condiments, none of which we needed as the kitchen is impressively stocked. We had grand plans of snowmobiling and skiing the week away, but the weather had other plans. It rained the entire week before we arrived so the snow was hard packed. I was really bummed out on my drive up all the way from South Carolina, but quickly stopped worrying about it upon arrival. We had more fun exploring the area, visiting Montreal, going on hikes, cooking dinners, and playing silly board games with the wood stove burning than any amount of snowmobiling could have brought. We were so sad to leave and we're already planning on our return trip to enjoy this great spot in the warm weather this summer! Thanks to Joannie for helping us out with anything we could possibly need on our trip and to Judy for sharing her lovely place with us."
