  • Let's go again!

"If you have a peripatetic spirit filled with curiosity and optimism, Hillcrest Lodge is your gateway to the wild and beautiful Trans Pecos area of Texas. You’re smack-dab equidistant from historical attractions in all directions. Visit the Val Verde winery in Del Rio, the remote rivers of the desert, and the astounding, utterly breathtaking petroglyphs from the prehistoric past that cover the canyon walls. Frank is an interesting, wonderful host, and his clean, well-stocked and spacious Lodge provides all you’ll need for a relaxing stay. The Texas Parks and Wildlife visitor center is just across the highway down the hill! Imagine…A yard full of wildlife under the feeder, beyond which are panoramic views of Lake Amistad out the front door and the ever-changing light and shadows on the mountains in Mexico out the back door. Mother Nature presents a different show with every unworldly sunset! I was reminded of T.S. Eliot’s line from The Wasteland. “I should have been a pair of ragged claws scuttling across the bottom of silent seas.” Tranquility, silence and perfect peace."

  • Comfortable, serene & great location!!

"Our family of 5 really enjoyed our week there. The house is located in an out-of-the-way gated community so it's incredibly peaceful, safe and quiet. The location was perfect for everything. A short drive to the town of Sedona with great restaurants and hiking. A beautiful red rock view from the back deck and you could actually hike right from there. We took our elderly mom and she had a downstairs room and that was helpful. However, I would not consider the house handicap accessible. The house has a very well stocked kitchen!! We've rented many homes and this was the most stocked home we've ever stayed in. There's a washer/ dryer with detergent, extra paper products, etc... The 3 upstairs rooms were large and comfortable. The only downside is the skylights above the beds upstairs! Not a good design when the sun rises at 4:30-5:00! The living area was large, with a fireplace and flat screen tv. We enjoyed all our meals on the outside patio table and used the gas grill on several occasions. Myrna, the property manager was good about returning emails about questions regarding the house. It could use a little updating but Id definitely recommend this property. Sedona is amazing!"

  • BHI Vacation

"The villa was very well equipped and suited all of our needs. The upper deck was a great place to catch the sunset. The proximity to the club was perfect and the walking distance to the beach made it that much better. I would definitely rent this villa again. The owners were very responsive and courteous."

  • Excellent experience and can't wait to go back!

"We had a girl’s weekend at Beachreak Bungalow and had an amazing experience! The house met all of our needs and then some. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make our meals from breakfast to steak milanese, the beds were comfy, the neighborhood was adorable and if you walked south to the little lake there was a shortcut to the beach making it only a few minutes’ walk away. And they even thought of all the little details, such as books in the front bedroom for reading, games in the family room to play, beach umbrella to take for your day in the sun at the beach etc. The backyard was beautiful and we loved lounging there. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back next year!"
