  • Weekend Getaway From Chicago

"Some friends and I decided to get out of Chicago and head to Door County for a long weekend. We came across The Cedar Beach Inn and I'm so glad we did! The Cedar Beach Inn sits directly on Lake Michigan and has amazing views of the lake. It was snowing for part of the time, so we spent our time savoring meals (and wine) in the fully-stocked main kitchen, chatting, and enjoying the views of the amazing lake and snowfall from the heated sun room in back. The Cedar Beach Inn has tons of knick-knacks and antiques from around the world that are very cool to play with and read about. I really felt at home and comfortable during the entire stay. Oh yeah, they even have an impressive DVD collection. Since the Inn is right off the main road ("Main" road, it's still quiet), we walked up to the road to a local bar where we had some tasty Wisconsin beers and got to chat with the locals. We even met the town President and got some great tips on nearby lookout points and cross-country skiing trails to check out! One afternoon we took a drive up the peninsula to discover the neighboring towns and stumbled across a bakery with the most amazing cherry pie made with cherries from the local orchards. Another night we went up to The Coyote Roadhouse for dinner and enjoyed watching all the locals pull up in their snow mobiles. We will definitely be renting some snowmobiles when we return this winter! The Cedar Beach Inn is stocked with everything you need to comfortably enjoy your stay. We enjoyed our stay so much we already have plans to return, this time with more friends! I've been to Door County a few times in the winter and really can't get enough!"

  • Paris Central!

"We have stayed in several locations on past visits to Paris, but this apartment is truly Paris Central. It's a half block from the Pompidou Center, two blocks from the Ile de la Cite, and the Chatelet metro stop is close by. Parisian landmarks a little further away all can be seen from the apartment's one-of-a-kind roof top terrace. Having breakfast or an afternoon glass of wine on that terrace makes you feel in the center of everything. The neighborhood is crammed with restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. The apartment is comfortable, inviting, and the lift makes luggage handling a breeze. The three bedrooms and bathroom facilities are on the entry-level floor. The second floor, accessible by a circular staircase, includes the living/dining room and kitchen. The third floor is the outdoor terrace, and if the weather is nice, you'll be out there a lot. There were six of us, which means that one couple gets a bedroom with an ensuite shower and sink. The other two couples share the remaining full bathroom. With six people, it can be a bit tight, but we were there a full week with no problems. The third bedroom is separated from the hallway by a curtain, giving it adequate privacy. But the curtain does not screen out noise, meaning that anyone talking in the upstairs dining/living room kitchen will wake up sleepers in the third bedroom. Henri, the landlord, was very responsive, and promptly answered all e-mails and phone calls. When we had a minor electrical problem, he was there within an hour (on a Saturday) to fix it. We will keep this apartment on our list for the future, and would recommend it to anyone visiting Paris for the first time or on a return trip."

  • March 2014

"This was a beatiful property and well maintained. The pool was a perfect size with a nice fountain and the backyard had fruit trees - lemon, grapefruit and orange, a nice barbecue area, patio and gas firepit for cool evenings. The house can accommodate 2 families very comfortably with the 3 1/2 baths. We were about 15 - 20 minutes away from the Coyotes Arena and the Tanger Outlet Mall. There were numerous restaurants within about 15 minutes from the house. There was also a good selection of golf courses in the area. I would definately book this property again."

  • Great Place!

"We rented this house for the month of May, and really enjoyed it. The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet, historic, and only about a block from the lake. The park was about a block as well, and my kids loved going there every evening to play. For CD'A, it really is a great location, and Dan (the owner) was great to work with!"
