  • Perfect beach house

"Our family has rented a house on the Isle of Palms for the past 15 years and we have stayed here for the past 2. Previously we had rented 5 other houses in Sea Oats. The is the best place to stay on the Isle of Palms because the beach is a 2 minute walk, there is no busy road to cross, it is right across from Wild Dunes (great for bike riding), there is a community pool and it is 2 minutes from the Marina (we bring a boat). This is the best house we have stayed in because it is very clean, it has a screened in porch, everything works, it has a great outdoor shower and it has an awesome 3 bunk bed room which all the kids stay in. They love it!"

  • Build memories and get more than you expect

"Our family was looking for a beach front home for a special Hawaiian vacation. We found it at Hawaiian Heaven and it became our Paradise. This was a three family/three generation vacation. From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. The home is beautiful and comfortable, better than the pictures. It's so spacious that we never felt we were crowding each other. When you open the double glass sliding doors from the living room to the lanai, you bring the tropical outdoors indoors. Everything you would want for your beach vacation is there. Dan and Shelly have made it so easy, pack light. The North Shore is a perfect place to be on Oahu. The beaches are quiet and the sand is therapeutic. The granddaughters (13 & 7) loved walking out to the beach and boggy boarding with their uncle. Waimea Valley is not far and we took the gorgeous walk to the falls. They have a great farmers market on Thursday afternoon. We snorkeled at Shark Cove, saw turtles at Turtle Beach and went to Hale'iwa four times for shaved ice at Matsumoto's. However, the standout was Jumping Rock at Waimea Bay. The two granddaughters, along with their uncle, were the first to take the jump. Eventually their mother joined in. We did take a day to visit Pearl Harbor to see what Freedom looks like. At days end, we spent most of the time on the lanai. While the girls did their homework at the outdoor bar, the adults enjoyed a cool drink and watched the sunset. Making good use of the BBQ, we spent most of our meals in the front yard listening to the surf. We did try a shrimp stand, Seven Brothers and our final night at the Turtle Bay Resort. Casual dinning but delicious, don't miss the desserts. Dan made our trip so easy. He's quick to respond to emails and even a phone call to answer questions. Thank you Dan and Shelly for sharing your home with us. When the week was over and it was time to leave, we all had tears. Hawaiian Heaven gave us more than we expected and exactly what we were looking for: time together as a family, memories to keep for a lifetime and stories we could share with each other and friends. We also had a collection of shells and sea glass, who could ask for anything more."

  • Excellent property

"We have rented many VRBO properties through the years and this one had the most usable kitchen of any we have stayed at. Usually we find a few cheap plastic spatulas and spoons and a couple of small teflon pans from the 90's. This place was filled with almost anything you could think of; whisks, sharp knives, pans of all shapes and sizes, a quality coffee maker, food processor, hand mixer and more. The home was super clean when we arrived. The living room was large and comfy and, while there were only two of us, we could imagine being there with a large group, building a nice fire in the fireplace and having a ton of fun. The main floor master was nice, especially if you have someone in your group who can't manage stairs. The deck has a large dining table and other seating for hanging out. There were a few other homes in the distance, but far enough away that you still felt private. The hot tub was lovely at night. One caveat, there is some work being done on the dam not far from the property. If you have very delicate senses that may feel assaulted by the beep beep beep and engine noise from the construction vehicles, you may want to wait until the work is completed. For us, though, the hypnotizing views made it almost unnoticeable and you could not hear the noise in the house with the doors closed. The work ceased in the late afternoon and on Sunday. Thanks for a wonderful stay."

  • Vacation seeker

"We had the most delightful, relaxing time at this villa that you can imagine! Everything we wanted or needed was provided in the unit. Immaculate and beautiful describe the entire villa and surrounding area. If you like to golf you couldn't ask for a more convenient location and if you prefer the water, the pool and lanai are sensational! Loved it, will return again!"
