"My family of 4 just returned from a week stay at this beautiful home. The listing description and photos were accurate, yet in person the home exceeded our expectations! Potato fields and water views from nearly every window. Such a peaceful, beautiful setting. Enjoyed morning walks, runs or bike rides on the neighboring streets. Great time canoeing the Grand River from the backyard! Very comfortable, IMMACULATE, fantastic 2 person tub, central A/C, laundry room and fully equipped kitchen made for such a perfect stay. Home included movies, books, games and puzzles to enjoy in the evenings after touring the island. Location was convenient allowing us to explore different areas of the island such as North Cape, Cape Egmont (loved the glass houses), Cavendish, Charlottetown for a musical, Lennox Island, Belmont Park and Summerside. We ran out of time to explore the eastern side. Close enough to the bridge to allow for a day in Nova Scotia. A car is definitely needed on this island. Much large than we expected. Coastal drives are a must and PEI National Park! Just bring some bug spray for the evenings if planning on sitting outdoors. Home is also very pet friendly with vast yard to explore. Found photo album detailing the home restoration project. The painstaking labor to restore all the woodwork created quite an exquisite outcome for guests to enjoy. Owner was very helpful in answering all our questions. Only confusing item was the trash recycling. We've recycled for years but yet didn't know trash could be divided into so many parts!. PEI is ahead of the game as far as sustainability goes with their recycling and numerous turbines lining the landscape. Gorgeous island and home ..... we highly recommend this home to families or those wanting a romantic or quiet escape!"

  • Wonderful private getaway

"I had a wonderful time staying at Tranquility. Two weeks of peace and quiet, with fantastic privacy the entire time. The kitchen had everything I needed, the town of Bath is just an easy 15 minute drive away for picking up groceries or going out to eat, the beds were very comfortable, and beaches were within a few minutes' drive away. I needed a solid Internet connection in case of work emergency, and Tranquility came through on that as well. If you're looking for a retreat where you can go read and write to your heart's content, this is the place you're looking for."

  • Simply Perfect in every way

"My family of 4 arrived at the Crow's Nest on a Saturday evening...and from the moment we got there until the time we left the following Saturday morning, we were not once disappointed! It is even more beautiful and private than the pictures show..the plants and trees all throughout the place were just beautiful and provided a lot of privacy and created the tropical island feel..there were cute little lizards that my kids enjoyed finding and watching..the pool was perfect for us and we tried to use it every night after being at the beach most of the day...Amy was super helpful any time I had any questions, and very quick to respond..even though the other 2 rentals were occupied, we really felt like we were alone in our own little piece of paradise. The place was extremely clean and the kids loved the spiral staircase with the loft...it felt like a little hide away for them. The laundry room was super convenient, right under the stairs with an extra toilet/shower just in case. It was so nice not having to travel with extras since this place provides beach towels, plenty of chairs for adults and kids, boogie boards, a cooler, umbrellas, and a wagon to tote it all in. It's about 200 yards from the beach, and within walking distance to the trolley stop. Spinakers is on Holmes Beach, which in my opinion after a week of exploring Anna Maria Island, is the quietest and cleanest beach on the whole island....there are cute little shops that are locally owned, people riding their bikes or golf carts around, people running along the sidewalks....to my family this was paradise...no obnoxious drunk college kids yelling or running around...just retired people and young families....the beach was not crowded...which was nice....I can't say enough good things about this place and our experience...Oh yeah and in our cottage was a little photo book with information about the local restaurants and things to do, which was a great help for us since we had never been there....we plan to return to this same location next year and will probably make this our yearly vacation spot from here on out....if we could ever make it happen, we would live on Holmes Beach; we did not want to leave!"
