  • Weekend On The Lake

"We had the house for the weekend for a group of 7. We found the house to be spacious, clean, comfortable and well appointed. Reasonably priced. We would definitely return in the future."

  • Cox Skiers

"Great place to stay that has easy access to the slopes. House is set up really well for large families that like to bring there own food and cook for a large group. We will be planning on staying there again next year if the dates work out."

  • The perfect ski trip - the perfect ski house

"35 inches of snow the weekend before we arrived made the skiing one of the best we had experienced. It was our first trip to the Aspen/Snowmass area and we wanted to ski all of the area resorts, so instead of finding the usual “ski-in ski-out” condo, we looked for a local ski house for our base. I was attracted to the house by the photos on the website, and by the price. I contacted the owner and was impressed with how friendly and helpful he was. Based on the correspondence we decided to book the house for the week. Everything was perfect. The house was everything the photos show it to be. The location was great – in a quiet hillside neighborhood with a wonderful view of the valley and mountains. Two of our mornings the sky was clear so we had beautiful sunrises (most of the windows of the house face east, so you can’t miss the sunrises). It is barely a 2 mile drive to the Snowmass village, and about an 8 mile drive to the Aspen area resorts, so the drive was short. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill which would be a bit of a walk, but do-able. The owner provided a parking permit for the Snowmass Village parking area which was very nice. The kitchen was just like home, and well apportioned. If you like to cook you will find every gadget, measuring device, bowl, pot, pan, knife (about 30 knives sticking out of 2 wooden knife holders), turners, whiskers, that you could possibly want. The pantry was much better stocked than we have experienced at any of the condos we have rented – check to see what’s there before making the shopping trip. The house and bedrooms have a roomy and comfortable feel. The water heater in the laundry room is the biggest I have ever seen – there was plenty of water for each of us to have a nice hot shower after a day of skiing. And the electric blanket on each bed was a very nice touch. The house has wireless internet, and none of us had any trouble with phone reception. I had thought this trip to the Aspen area would be a once only trip but I loved the skiing (particularly the Highlands) and the ski house was fantastic, so now a return trip is definitely a possibility."

  • BEARS HIDEAWAY

"My family and I have had a wonderful time staying with you Randall at Bears Hideaway, and I am so looking forward to coming back to stay again. The Cabin is beautiful and in great shape, perfect for the six of us. Even with the weather getting down below zero, we all stayed warm and cozy in the hot tub and in front of the fire place. I am also very grateful for the fast response to any questions or concerns that we had. The beds were completely comfortable and the the down time spent at the cabin was so relaxing between the running around in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. For all of these reasons, we extended our stay to a full week since we had such a great time and didn't want to leave. I highly recommend this for the close location between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Do pay attention to the driveway, as it was exactly what was described to me, very steep with a flat parking spot at the top. Nonetheless we had no problems in an AWD SUV and a 2WD full size Chevrolet Silverado. GREAT MEMORIES MADE AND LOOKING FORWARD TO COMING BACK TO MAKE MORE ! ! ! ! !"
