"Fantastic location within walking distance to most of the major sites in and around the French Quarter. Many great restaurants and eateries in the area. House was spacious, well outfitted (bedrooms, kitchen, washroom), clean and the wifi worked well. If you are considering this home, google "Shotgun" style homes. For some, the fact that you have to pass through one bedroom to get to the kitchen and/or bathroom might prove to be something they can't work around."

"I'm the Maid of Honor and planned a 13 person Bachelorette weekend in the North Fork. We stayed in this beautifully appointed house, and it was just absolutely lovely. The kitchen and living area on the 2nd floor are a gourmet chef's dream. We stocked the house with plenty of food and cooked all weekend long. Our host, Lisa and Dan, were very responsive and accommodating. They ensured that we had a wonderful stay. We had an amazing time despite Hurricane Jaquine and while you would think the house would be too small for a party of 13, it was not and all the girls were comfortable. I'm now thinking of doing a family reunion get together here next summer with my own family. I would highly recommend this vacation rental without any hesitation whatsoever. Thank you Lisa and Dan!!!"

"The house was great! It was perfect for 2 families and teenage kids. The adults and kids had some privacy. The multiple seating areas were so nice. The kitchen was great. The downstairs was a bit musty and bathroom needs updated , but it wouldn't keep me from staying here again. Wonderful view."

"We rented Loon Lodge for the first time ever when my family was visiting from out of the country. We were a group of 7 altogether - 4 adults and 3 kids. The setting was beautiful. Miller Lake is big enough to get a good canoe trip in, but small enough that the water is warm and relatively calm.
The house was just what we were hoping for. Beautiful big living room windows overlooking the lake and a gorgeous wrap around terrace with a table for dining outside. I liked that the house had 2 levels so the early risers could be separated from those who wanted to sleep in.
The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes and cookware we needed and it was fantastic to have a canoe and raft and rowboat to use; saved us from having to rent.
The beds and furniture were a little soft/worn for our liking, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I would also love the option to rent our linens and pay for housekeeping instead of having to haul all that ourselves to the cabin.
But all in all, a great value for our money and the owners were very responsive and reasonable to deal with. I would recommend this for a family getaway to anyone looking for a base on the Bruce Peninsula, close to Tobermory and the beaches of Lake Huron."
