OUR UNIT has a king-size bed and LCD TV in the master bedroom, a sofabed and entertainment center and desk in the living room with LCD TV, DVD, VCR, CD stereo, free internet modem. Screens on all doors and windows allow a pleasant breeze, and there are ceiling fans and an air conditioner for hot days.
Some people say Wailea begins at Kamaole Sands. We can't object, except to say that our beautiful beach is so accessible and the grounds and Aloha atmosphere both comfortable and affordable.
A favorite place. We delight in breakfast or cool afternoon drinks on the west-facing garden-view lanai, morning walks past Keawakapu into nearby Wailea or north into Kihei, pleasant hours on the beach, fresh fish or steaks cooked on one of the resort's Weber barbecues, drinks by the pool, or a stroll through the lush gardens and grassy play areas. Our view of the garden is lovely (see the picture taken from our lanai).
LOCATED at the south end of Kihei, KAMAOLE SANDS RESORT is one of the area's most popular resort properties because of its lush garden layout and its easy access to the beach. Kamaole III is a beautiful, protected beach with grassy play areas, playground and shady trees on an upper level. A short drive or a 15-minute walk away is beautiful Keawakapu Beach.
WE ENJOY WALKING, especially in the mornings, through Wailea with its beautiful resorts, shops, golf courses, and restaurants. Our path takes us along the flower-draped roadway, detours onto mile-long Keawakapu Beach if we're in sandals, and continues up a winding walkway over volcanic lava flows and past more gorgeous beaches and luxury hotels.
ONSITE FEATURES at Kamaole Sands include a large swimming pool, two hot tubs, a children's wading pool, four tennis courts, snack bar, activity desk, and barbecues. |
