Located just 20 minutes from Maggie Valley North Carolina in the Pisgah Forest Area , this converted Grist Mill has a panoramic view of the mountains and farmlands. The open style of our cabin is approximately 500 square feet with a separate utility room. The cabin consists of a full country kitchen, modern bathroom, a queen sized bed with linen, full family room area with queen sleeper sofa, and a cozy wood burning stove.
This country-comfy cabin was converted from a Grist Mill(circa 1930s) that served the local Fines Creek community with a millstone driven by an early 1900's engine. The cabin is constructed of Wormy Chestnut wood inside and out. Sit and rock on our quaint screened porch and relax while the hummingbirds, finches, and other birds come in for their daily feedings. Listen to the babble of Fines Creek from your screen porch. Just up the mountain is a trailhead for the Appalachian trail. Cherokee, Harrah's Casino, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, Dolly Wood, Nantahala Whitewater rafting, and Biltmore House are all just minutes away. See the real "Cold Mountain" from the Blueridge Parkway! This summer "Ghost Town in the Sky" will be open for lots of family fun!
